God Of War Ragnarok Freya’s Missing Peace Favour is a Vanaheim Side Quest that will bring you to the River Delta, provided you help Freya deal with her past.
God Of War Ragnarok Freya’s Missing Peace Side Quest is also a bit problematic because there are several important requirements you have to be aware of to avoid some possible bugs.
To be able to start Freya’s Missing Peace Favor in GoW Ragnarok, you’ll need to complete The Reckoning or the 6th Main Quest in the game.
However, as you are about to see, things can get a bit messy while playing this quest, so throughout the following God Of War Ragnarok Freya’s Missing walkthrough, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about this Favor.
How To Start Freya’s Missing Peace Favour In Vanaheim
GoW Ragnarok Freya’s Missing Peace starts automatically by sailing south of Freyr’s Camp Mystic Gateway after The Reckoning Main Quest.
But, even though this quest becomes available early in the game, it’s best to postpone it until you finish the story.
If you wonder why, you should know that for this quest, Kratos has to work alongside Freya to recover some items in Vanir Shrine. To progress, Freya must open some blocked areas by removing vines. The problem is that Freya won’t always remove them, thus triggering some small bugs.
Furthermore, it is mandatory to have Freya as your companion because this is her quest. If, by any chance, you start the quest while playing with Freya, then decide to continue it with Arteus as your companion, you won’t be able to progress.
Finally, this quest can only be played during the day; otherwise, the river is blocked by a large tree root.
Since the option to switch between day and night becomes available later in the game, it’s best to postpone the quest until you get access to it.
Now that you know why you may encounter some of the Freya’s Missing Peace bugs, let’s see how to complete this long Favour.
Where To Find The Entrance To Freya’s Wedding Shrine
After starting the quest, you’ll need to navigate south along the river. While doing so, try to unlock as many Boat Docks as possible, then stop at the one named Cliffside Ruins.
The first thing you’ll want to do here is deal with all enemies and look around to find as many Cliffside Ruins Collectibles we’ve covered here as you can, especially if you visit this area after the story.
Now while facing the large mountain, you should see a suspended chain blocked by some vines. It’s on top of the mountain.
Head left while facing it, and look for a climbing point on the wall pictured below.
Upon reaching the top of the building, head left and jump on the platforms in the distance. Keep heading left, so you get close to the vines and the golden chain.
While standing on the platform closest to the chain, you’ll have to use the Runic Arrows (pink) to burn the brambles.
To do so, start by shooting one arrow at the brambles, then move left and shoot two additional arrows but make sure that the pink spheres are connected.
Now equip your Blades of Chaos, and while holding down L2, press R2 and aim at the sphere on the left side. This will start a chain reaction that will burn the vines.
With the chain released, head back to the ground and climb it. In the next area, head right and interact with a chisel. Follow the prompts on the screen, and you’ll reveal a rune your companion can read.
Press square, then you’ll see a mountain moving in the distance. This unlocks a new area named Goddess Falls.
As you can guess now, you’ll have to return to the boat and navigate south until you see a beach on the right side.
Once again, you’ll have to clear the area, then climb the wall on the other side (pictured below).
After reaching the top, head left and swing over the gap. The moment you land on the left side, you’ll see a Red Chest behind some vines you can burn, and on the right side, another wall you can climb.
Now that you have reached the top start looking for the Goddess Falls Collectibles we’ve covered here, and when ready, approach the stone gate covered in vines.
At this point, it’s worth knowing that if Atreus is your companion, you won’t be able to progress or interact with the vines. In this case, you’ll want to advance the story until Freya becomes your companion or beat the story and return here.
Assuming Freya is with you, interact with the vines pictured above, and you’ll enter Vanir Shrine.
Freya’s Belonging Locations
While inside the Vanir Shrine, you’ll need to solve several puzzles to progress the GoW Ragnarok Freya’s Missing Peace Quest.
There are also several Vanir Shrine Collectibles and a Treasure Map in this area. While tracking the quest, start clearing the large central area and dealing with the Soul Eater.
Now, while facing the large temple on the other side of the area (across the large gap), head right (not on your map) to see a suspended bridge.
The bridge must be lowered by destroying two seals. One is on the right side (visible while standing in front of the bridge), behind some vines you can destroy using the Runic Arrows (pink), as you can see in the following screenshot.
The second seal is on the left side of the bridge, so backtrack to the central area and stay close to the edge of the gap.
Throw your Leviathan Axe to destroy the locker and lower the bridge.
Great job! Now cross the bridge you just lowered and follow the linear path. In the next area, deal with all enemies first, then follow the path on the left side of the iron gate.
Eventually, you’ll get to another iron gate you have to open to enter another round area. Kill all enemies first; then, you’ll see Freya approaching an altar.
Get close to her and retrieve Freya’s first belonging. Now follow Freya to the glowing rune on the right side and interact with the chisel, following the prompt on your screen.
As you are about to find out, you’ll have to return to the central area; however, now you’ll want to remove the brambles on the gate that’s opposed to the chisel. Use a Runic Arrow and Kratos’s Blades of Chaos.
Descend the golden chain, and turn around to get The Giant’s Toes Treasure Map explained here.
To get Freya’s second belonging, you’ll want to cross the central area, moving south on your map towards a large round gate.
Here you’ll need to solve another puzzle that requires you to light both torches at the same time.
Again, you’ll need to use the Runic Arrows and the Blades of Chaos. To make the puzzle more accessible, notice the three iron holes above the gate. Shoot three Runic Arrows while aiming at them.
Now light them up, starting with the one in the middle, and follow the passage behind. After clearing the next area, burn the vines on the next door using the same Runic Arrows and the Blades of Chaos, then keep pushing forward to enter the last section.
Here you’ll have to deal with more enemies before approaching Freya and getting her second belonging.
Like the previous section we explored, you’ll have to find the second chisel on the left side of the altar, where you find Freya’s second belonging.
Except this one is behind a wall of vines (pictured below).
Get close to it, wait for Freya to remove the vines, then interact with the chisel to reveal another Rune.
Good job! So now, things get pretty linear, and the next step is to return to the central area and approach the burning runes.
The third belonging is inside the round temple on the other side of the gap. To cross it, get Freya close to the burning runes and interact with them.
Now cross the bridge that spawns and interact with the mirror on the other side. As you step inside Vanir Shrine, you’ll trigger a cutscene and unlock a new weapon for Freya.
To complete the quest, however, you’ll have to return to the Goddess Falls beach and Boat Dock.
Before leaving, though, it’s best to get all Vanir Shrine Collectibles we’ve covered here. When you get into the boat, you’ll trigger a mini-boss fight against two Dreki. Once you beat them, jump into the boat to finish the God of War Ragnarok Freya’s Missing Peace Favor.
