Similar to the previous title, The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom offers a wide selection of items to find and collect, from food ingredients to creepy creature parts.
Though there is no limit to regular items and armor, Link is restricted to carrying only a limited number of weapons, bows, and shields, which can be frustrating when exploring the Kingdom of Hyrule and having to abandon items.
Fortunately, there is a way to increase your inventory space to carry more weapons, bows, and shields. To unlock this ability, you need to complete a simple quest that will be familiar to whoever played Breath of the Wild.
As such, in the following Zelda ToTK guide, we will provide all the information you need to learn how to expand inventory space for Link.
How To Increase Inventory Space In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom
If you want to increase your inventory capacity, you must speak with Korok Hetsu and provide him with a specific amount of Korok Seeds for each upgrade.
These seeds can be found by searching for hidden Koroks or helping some of them in reuniting with their friends.
The first encounter with Korok Hetsu is in the northwest region of Lookout Landing, near Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, at the following map coordinates -1710, 1066, 0201.
When you reach the location marked below, speak with the large Korok to begin the Hetsu’s Concerns side adventure.
You can complete this side adventure by defeating the two treats uphill and offering a single Korok Seed to Hetsu afterward.
If you have previously helped Koroks in reuniting with their separated friends, you may already have some seeds in your possession.
Once you give them to Hetsu, you can select which inventory you would like to expand, and the side adventure will be successfully finished.
If you want to expand your inventory space in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom even further, you’ll have to locate Hetsu once more.
Once you’ve completed the Hetsu’s Concerns side adventure, you can find him wandering around in the Lookout Landing.
This time, you can give him all of your Korok Seeds to upgrade your inventory space multiple times.
In order to completely upgrade all of your pouches, you will require a total of 421 Korok Seeds.
Specifically, 108 Korok Seeds are required to fully upgrade your bow pouch, 160 Korok Seeds are needed to completely upgrade your shield pouch, and 153 Korok Seeds are necessary to fully upgrade your weapon pouch.
Each inventory upgrade will grant you an extra slot in your inventory. Refer to the tables below for information on the number of expansions and the cost of each slot.

It’s recommended to prioritize increasing inventory space for weapons because you’ll come across many weapons while exploring the game, either by finding them or defeating enemies.
With the ability to Fuse weapons together, you’ll want to experiment and test out different combinations, which requires storage space. Additionally, weapons are more likely to break during battles, so having a decent supply of them on hand is important.
However, after progressing further in the game, Hetsu will change his location. You can locate him in Korok Forest at the coordinates 0410, 2122, 0141, but only after you’ve met the Deku Tree.
And that’s all the information you need on how to expand inventory space in Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. For additional helpful guides about the game, you can always refer to our Wiki Hub Page.
