The time has come for you to help Moana figure out how to use the Leader Shards and Disney Dreamlight Valley The Ceremony quest is the one you’ll want to complete to restore Moana’s memory.
The Ceremony Disney Dreamlight Valley friendship quest is the last one in Moana’s Early Access questline, and as with most quests you’ve completed so far, it requires materials you’ll use to craft the Honored Place.
Some of these materials, however, are a bit trickier, and you’ll find them in Moana’s Realm.
They are known as Conchs, and throughout the following guide, we’ll discuss their locations and all other objectives you’ll need to complete for The Ceremony quest in the video game developed by Gameloft.
How To Start The Ceremony In Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Ceremony is the eighth quest you’ll need to complete for Moana, and to be able to play it first; you’ll need to help her find Pua in The Search For Pua.
Upon finding Pua, you’ll also want to increase your Friendship Level with Moana until you reach the Early Access Cap, which is level 10. In case you need help, don’t forget to check our in-depth guide here.
The last requirement for this quest refers to Maui, who is also a friend of Moana. Since you’ll need him for the Ceremony, it means you’ll need to unlock him or bring him to your Village by completing A Feast Worthy Of A Demigod quest.
Preferably you’ll also want to finish his questline, but this is not a requirement.
Now that all of Moana’s friends are unlocked, it’s time to start her final quest. As such, open your map and look for her icon.

Travel to her location and talk to her to find out that she remembers how to use the Leader Shards you collected.
Tell her that you want to know too, and she’ll tell you that there is a tradition on her island (Motunui) that involves placing stones on a mountain. Each chief places one Stone, thus raising the island.
Moana’s Leader Shards act like the stones on the island, and each Shard is an act of leadership. Combined, these Shards make a leader, and you’ll need to stack them.
But you can’t place the Shards randomly. You need to put them in an Honored Place, and your objective is to craft one. So the first step in The Ceremony quest is to find the following Crafting Materials:
- 50 Stones
- 10 Iron Ingots
- 3 Conchs
Now, before going after these Crafting Materials, since the Stones and Iron Ingots are obtained via Mining, make sure you bring a Companion specialized in Mining with you to speed up the process.
Obviously, if you have the materials, you can skip the mining part, but for the sake of this guide, we’ll assume you need them.
How To Get Iron Ingots
To get the Honored Place Crafting Materials as effectively as possible, focus on gathering the items you need for the Iron Ingots first.
To craft a single Iron Ingot, you need five Iron Ore and One Coal Ore, meaning that for ten Iron Ingots, you need 50 Iron Ore and 10 Coal Ore.
Both of these Crafting Materials drop while mining the Deposits in the following Biomes:
- Forest of Valor
- Glade of Trust
- Sunlit Plateau
- Frosted Heights
- Forgotten Lands
You should know, though, that alongside Iron Ore and Coal Ore, you’ll also get Stones while mining the Rock Spots like the one pictured below, so you’ll hit two birds with one Stone.

Furthermore, consider starting with the Glade of Trust Biome because it’s the richest in Iron Ore, and if you finished Merlin’s Final Trial quest, you’d be able to fully explore it by removing the large pink mushrooms.
The Forest of Valor is also a great place to find more Iron Ore, especially after you upgrade your shovel by finishing Anna’s Icy Invitation quest. The said upgrade is used to remove the tree stumps.
So, to get 50 Iron Ore keep moving between the Biomes listed above and mine all Deposits you find, prioritizing those in Glade of Trus and Forest of Valor.
After you get the required amount of Iron Ore, head to a Crafting Table (McDuck’s Shop or Goofy’s House), and in the Refined Material tab, look for Iron Ingot. Craft 10 units.
Where To Find Stone
Assuming you still need Stone after you craft Iron Ingots, you’ll want to look for Stone Deposits.
Luckily Stone is a common Crafting Material you can get quite fast from various sources, such as the Rock Spots above or from the small and large Stone Deposits in the screenshot below.
These appear in most, if not all, Biomes.

Conchs Locations
Great job! Now that you’ve got Stones and Iron Ingots, you need to get 3 Conchs for the Honored Place.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Conchs are quest items you won’t be able to find around the Valley.
So, you’ll need to travel back to Moana’s Realm via the portal in the Castle.
Upon entering the Castle, remain on the ground floor and enter the portal in the middle.
Now, the moment you enter Moana’s Real, turn left towards the water, and you’ll see a pink shell (pictured below).

Pick it up because it’s the first Conch you’ll need. Now, move along the beach and around the boat.
In the distance, under a Banana Tree, you’ll see another Conch (pictured below on the right side), while the third one is waiting by some rocks (left side in my screenshot).

Crafting And Placing The Honored Place
Amazing job! Now that you have the Conchs and all other Crafting Materials, it’s time to craft the Honored Place.
So, head back to the Valley via the exit point you used to get to Moana’s Realm, then visit a Crafting Station.
Access the station, then check the Furniture tab. Select the Honored Place in the upper left corner and craft it.
Now, you’ll need to place the Honored Place, but it has to be near your house. Return to your home, then access your Backpack (Y on Xbox).
Go to the Furniture tab and select Moana’s icon in the Requests section.
Finally, select the Honored Place and move it around your house until you find a suitable spot (green) without obstacles. You can see a good spot below.

After placing the Honored Place, the Ceremony is about to start! Return to the game and find Moana. Talk to her, and she’ll tell you that you need to place the Leader Shards on the Honored Place.
Return to your house, interact with the platform near your home, then place all four fragments on it by selecting them from your inventory.
Awesome! Now, all that’s left to do is take a small selfie with you, Moana, Pua, and Maui, then claim your Disney Dreamlight Valley The Ceremony quest rewards.
