The Tower of Silence in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is home to one of the many intricate puzzles in the game – the Three Gongs Puzzle. This end-game challenge requires you to locate and hit three gongs in order to unlock the door in the Tower of Silence and progress further in the game. Each gong is protected by a few waves of powerful enemies, making this puzzle a true test of skill and strength.

This guide will walk you through the steps to successfully complete the Three Gongs Puzzle in Tower of Silence and obtain the Key of Kings.

How To Solve the Tower of Silence Three Gongs Puzzle in The Lost Crown

As you make your way up through the Tower of Silence to find the Key of Kings, you’ll come across a locked door adorned with a carving of a vulture cat and three suns. Just before this door, there is an inscription tablet with cryptic clues on how to unlock it.

In order to solve the Three Gongs Puzzle and open the locked door, you must find the three gongs around the Tower of Silence and slam them with the wooden log using the “Fabric of Time” ability.

First Gong Location

From the locked door, make your way up using the “Fabric of Time” ability and activate the Wak Wak Tree. Climb up on the left and slide through the hole in the wall. Immediately after going through, you’ll have to fight against two powerful enemies back-to-back.

Once you defeat them, use the “Fabric of Time” ability to slam the wooden log into the gong. I hate to let you down, but this was the easiest one.

Second Gong Location

The second gong is located southwest of the Wak-Wak Tree you’ve previously activated. Return to the locked door and descend through the wooden platform. Along the way, you’ll encounter many undead frozen soldiers and frozen floating skulls. There are also some platforming sections that you’ll need to pass. Most of them require you to use the “Fabric of Time” ability.

Eventually, you’ll have to slide through a hole, just like you did before, and fight some waves of undead frozen soldiers and floating skulls. After you defeat them, use “Fabric of Time” to slam the wooden log into the gong and progress The Three Gongs Puzzle.

Third Gong Location

The third and final gong is located southeast of the Wak Wak Tree. From the three, head to the right and go through the climbing section with icy spikes and floating skulls. Unfortunately, this section is quite tricky and cannot be skipped with platforming assistance in the accessibility menu.

Just follow the path on the map until you find the gong. But be prepared; you’ll have to face some tough enemies before you reach it. Watch out for their red attacks. Once you’ve defeated them, give that gong a good smash to complete the Three Gongs Puzzle in the Tower of Silence.

With the Three Gongs Puzzle completed, the door to the Tower of Silence will open, revealing an intense boss fight. Prepare yourself for a battle against King Darius, one of the most challenging bosses in the game.
