In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the Sacred Archives is a place where players can uncover the rich history and lore of the game. Within the Sacred Archives, there are also a couple of hidden chests that hold valuable rewards, but accessing them requires overcoming a few challenges and solving intricate puzzles.
The hidden chests in the Sacred Archives are also part of The Architect side quest, which becomes available towards the end of the story. The good news is that you don’t have to accept the quest right away to solve the Sacred Archives mystery chest puzzles and collect the treasures inside.
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore the Sacred Archives hidden chests, giving you all the info you need to find and unlock these treasures.
How To Solve the Sacred Archives Alchemists Puzzle in The Lost Crown
The first hidden mystery chest you will come across in the Sacred Archives is in a room with mad alchemists standing and praying in front of a stone mural. This room is located just southwest of the Sacred Archives fast-travel point. Please refer to the map below for the exact location.
On your first visit, there’s a cutscene where one of the alchemists gets kidnapped by the Jailer, leaving an empty space in front of the mural. Simply crouch in that space to solve the puzzle and reveal the hidden chest.

Opening the chest will reward you with a Soma Tree Petal, which is essential for increasing your character’s overall health. If you manage to collect four of these petals, you’ll be rewarded with an extra health point.
How To Solve the Sacred Archives Blocks Puzzle in Prince of Persia
The second hidden chest is in the upper section of the Sacred Archives, west of the Temple of Knowledge fast-travel point. You can explore this section once you solve the Secret Rooms Puzzles and unlock the “Clairvoyance” ability. The puzzle consists of a wall with nine red block traps arranged in a 3×3 grid. You’ll also notice elevated platforms on either side of the wall.

Now, here’s the trick to solving this puzzle. Although it may not be immediately apparent, you need to trigger all of the blocks to match the pattern on the background wall in the Jailer boss fight room. Check the image below for a visual reference.
To do this, drop down from the upper right platform, perform a “Rush of the Simurgh” towards the left on the middle row, and drop to the ground. Right after touching the floor, just high jump and hit the middle block on the bottom row.

Even if you trigger the block in the bottom left corner, you can still solve the puzzle without any issues. Inside the secret treasure chest, you’ll discover an Amulet Holder, which increases the number of amulets you can carry by 1.
