Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is an immersive game that offers a thrilling mix of exploration, combat, and challenging puzzles. One of the most intriguing puzzles in the game is the Soma Tree Statues puzzle. In this comprehensive guide, I will walk you through the step-by-step process of solving this puzzle and obtaining the reward.
How To Solve The Soma Tree Statues Puzzle in The Lost Crown
Before we dive into the solution, it’s important to know where to find the Soma Tree Statues puzzle in PoP: The Lost Crown. The puzzle is nestled in the Soma Tree area, to the west of the Homa Statue fast-travel point. I have included an image below that will provide precise directions to make it even easier for you.
To solve the Soma Tree Statues puzzle, you’ll need the “Dimensional Claw” Time Power, unlocked during The Path to the Sand Prison main quest. It’s a must-have ability for accessing and solving the puzzle. Once you enter the puzzle area through the purple portal doorway, you’ll find yourself in a room with two statues and a giant tablet with important instructions.
The tablet’s inscriptions will tell you how to position each statue so you can find the solution. Take a look at these clues from the tablet:
- “The largest looks to the east and watches all the rest.“
- “The medium guards the smaller in the direction that is best.“
- “Finally, observing the other two, the smallest awaits a guest.“
These clues give you a clear indication of how each statue should be positioned. Now, let’s go through the step-by-step solution.
Step 1: Positioning the Largest Statue
Before we start looking for the largest statue, use the “Dimensional Claw” ability (press /) to remove the gray statue from the pedestal and place it to the right, near the purple portal doorway. This will create space a bit of space for the following steps.
Now, head to the left side of the puzzle room and climb up the ledges until you spot the giant red statue. Use the “Dimensional Claw” ability to pick up the statue and bring it back to the main puzzle area. Place it on the leftmost pedestal, making sure it faces east (or towards the right).
Step 2: Positioning the Medium Statue
Next, go to the right side of the puzzle area and descend through the wooden platforms until you find a yellow statue with a green hat inside a small cave. After you pick it up with the “Dimensional Claw” ability, climb back up the first platform and throw the statue on the platform above (hold /to aim).
Once that’s done, head to the left through the purple portal doorway and climb back to the main puzzle area. Then, drop through the wooden platform again and pick up the yellow statue. Return with the statue to the main puzzle area.
The medium statue needs to be placed on the pedestal in the middle. Before we can do that, we need to remove the smallest statue. Drop the medium statue in front of the tablet, pick up the smallest statue, and place it on the rightmost pedestal. Then, grab the medium statue again and put it on the middle pedestal, making sure it faces east.
Step 3: Positioning the Smallest Statue
Finally, it’s time to deal with the smallest statue. If you’ve followed the previous steps, it should already be on the rightmost pedestal. This little guy should be facing the west side, so make sure it’s looking left. If you did everything right, the final setup should look like this:
