Completing all 70 Tales of Arise Sub-Quests for the Problem Solver trophy/achievement can become a tedious task unless you know what quests you need to complete and where you should look for them. Luckily, the Tales of Arise Sub Quests list below reveals all side-quests available in the game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The purpose of this list is to help you track each and every Tales of Arise Side-Quest you can complete; however, there are several things you should know about these Sub-Quests.
Tales of Arise Sub-Quests List
The most important aspect you have to consider is that the Tales of Arise Side-Quests are accessible in specific areas only. These areas act as hubs and serve as homes for most NPCs. As such, the list below reveals the regions where these quests become available.
Furthermore, in order to help you complete all of them, for the trickiest Tales of Arise Side-Quests, you’ll be able to access explicit walkthroughs in case you need more help; while for the rest of them, I have added some pointers to guide you.
Moving on, it’s also worth mentioning that some Tales of Arise Sub-Quests can’t be accessed unless you progress through the story or complete other Sub-Quests. This means that you’ll have to move between areas regularly or check all areas after you finish the story.
Next, you need to know that the Tales of Arise Side-Quests are marked on your map by icons depicting letters, so make sure you check your maps frequently. Finally, as you progress through the game, or after you finish the story, you can check your Activity Records (left on your D-Pad) and verify if your Sub Quests list includes all the quests below. So let’s see the complete Tales of Arise list of Sub-Quests and how to finish all of them.
All Calaglia Sub-Quests Locations & Guides
The following list reveals all Calaglia Sub-Quests featured in Tales of Arise.
This is the first area in the game, and basically, your journey starts here. There is only a handful of Sub-Quests you can complete here at first, but you can return here anytime you want upon advancing through the game. As you can see below, there is a total of 11 Side-Quests in Calaglia.
Supply Procurement Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
This quest is part of the game’s Prologue, and it’s quite accessible. Refer to the Supply Procurement walkthrough here if needed.
Shionne the Fashion Critic Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
Although this quest becomes available very early in the game, you won’t be able to complete it until later. Basically, you’ll want to talk to the man by the round fountain and pick any clothes you want him to try. Your choice won’t affect the story or the rewards.
Then, you’ll have to wait quite a bit for him to find the clothes. You may want to try talking to him after you beat the fifth Lord and after you return from “The Wedge”. It actually depends on when you start the quest.
Hunger Averted Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
For this quest, you’ll need to find Potatoes. Check this walkthrough for their locations if needed, even though these are very common ingredients.
Forging from Scratch Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
This quest is part of the Bound and Determined Main Quest, and you’ll finish it automatically as you progress through the story.
The Hunt for New Arms Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
For this Sub Quest, you’ll need to find 3 Stone Fragments. You can learn about their locations here.
Taking Root Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
The quest-giver spawns just before leaving Calaglia. His name is Grenar, and he is found outside your HQ in Ulzebek. Simply kill the wolves in Iglia Wastes to complete his request and the Taking Root Sub-Quest. Keep in mind that the wolves you need to defeat are in a marked area.
Mixed Feelings Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
Mixed Feelings is one of the post-game Sub-Quests, meaning that you won’t be able to finish it until you reach Rena. However, when you get to Rena (or the last area in the video game), fast traveling will be disabled and will unlock after the final boss in the story.
After you deal with him, reload your save (created automatically upon the credits), then return to Ulzebek and find Grenar. This quest is available only after you finish Taking Root above. Once you do that, Grenar and Naith will ask you to kill the Level 53 Thunderite Boss in Iglia Wastes, which is behind the Map Action boulder we discussed here.
Giant Zeugle Hunt Sub-Quest
Region: Ulzebek
Although this quest becomes available early in the game, to complete it, you’ll need to defeat the Mantis in Sandinus Ravine. Make sure you are prepared to face this boss because it is a Level 41 Zeugle. You can also postpone facing the Mantis until you beat the game.
Doc’s Secret Ingredient Sub-Quest
Region: Mosgul
Tales of Arise Doc’s Secret Ingredient can be played after you deal with Balseph. Talk to Doc in Mosgul, and he’ll ask for some Pepper. You can find Pepper in Kyrd Garrison. It is a very common ingredient you can get by looting the Collection Points.
Global Connection Sub-Quest
Region: Mosgul
Global Connection is a simple fetch quest you can complete immediately; however, it has a requirement that will force you to postpone it. This quest comes from Doc in the Mosgul area, and the first thing you’ll need to do is to complete his first request above.
Then, you’ll need to progress through the game until you reach Pelegion in Ganath Haros, where you’ll need to finish the Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy (explained below). Once you do that, Global Connection unlocks, and the friendly Doc will send you to Glanymede Castle, where Gourdeno awaits.
Talk to the NPC near him, and you’ll need to find 6x Wheat and 6x Egg. These are common ingredients you’ll most likely have by the time you unlock this quest, but if you don’t, you can simply buy them from the vendor inside the Pelegion Inn (Ganath Haros area). Now, give the ingredients to Gourdeno, and then you’ll need to return to Mosgul and deliver the Donuts you receive to Doc and Kohl.
Into the Grotto Sub-Quest
Region: Trench of Flames – East Side
Tales of Arise Into the Grotto is another Sub-Quest that can be completed later in the game. It is also one of the hidden Tales of Arise Sub-Quests you don’t want to miss. This quest is very short, but to start it, you’ll need a specific key that is dropped by a boss named Efreet Malum.
You’ll fight him as part of the story on top of the Berg Volcano. After you defeat him, get the Secret Key, and when the fast travel option becomes available (or after you beat the story), head back to the Gates of Fire in Calaglia. Now enter Trench of Flames East Side and look for the transition point in the north.
It is a locked door you can open with the said key. When you get close to it, the quest will start, and all you have to do is to get inside and loot Balseph’s Treasury.
All Tales of Arise Cyslodia Sub-Quests Locations & Guides
In Cyslodia Region, there is a total of 12 Tales of Arise Side Quests you need to complete. Again, some of them become available earlier, while others have specific requirements.
Fire Beneath the Ice Sub-Quest
Region: Messia 24
For this quest, talk to the man at the crossroad, then head back to White Silver Plains and kill seven wolves in the marked area.
Thawing Relations Sub-Quest
Region: Messia 24
To finish this Sub-Quest, all you need to do is to find Lettuce and Apples for the man at the bottom of the village. These items can be gathered from the White Silver Plains Collection Points.
Hard Liquor Sub-Quest
Region: Messia 24
The quest giver (located at the top of the village) will ask you for 4x Earth Seed. You can get the Tales of Arise Earth Seeds by killing Ropers in Ulvhan Grotto and Rudhir Forest. The Forest Ropers in Gilanne Woodland also drop them.
Gathering of Zeugles Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Alley
This sub-quest becomes available after you exit the Underground Waterway. Once you talk to the man near the fast-travel point, head back to Nevira Snowplains and kill the monsters in the marked areas.
Culling the Snowplain Herds Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Bregon’s Hideout
Culling the Snowplain Herds becomes available after you deal with Lord Ganabelt Valkyris. To complete it, just head to Nevira Snowplains and once again deal with the three groups of enemies.
Survey Says Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Bregon’s Hideout
After you finish the previous quest, talk to the same NPC, and he’ll send you to find three citizens. In the Alley outside, talk to the Peddler Woman, then head to Fountain Plaza Avenue and talk to Peace Loving Man.
Finally, travel to Central Plaza Avenue and talk to Fretting Man, then return to the quest giver (Bregon) and get the Prison Tower Cells Key. Use it to open the cell and deal with the Polycephus Gigant Zeugle.
Opening Up Trade Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Bregon’s Hideout
This Tales of Arise sub-quest also comes from Bregon. After you finish the previous one, talk to him again, and he’ll send you to another Giant Zeugle Hunt, but this time in the Ulvhan Grotto. Travel to White Silver Plains, enter the cave, and kill the Boisterous Roper.
In Sync Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Fountain Plaza Avenue
This Sub-Quest becomes available only later in the game after you deal with the fifth Lord and you return to Cyslodia (The Wedge Main Quest). Talk to Patvo by the street, then head to Frozen Valley and defeat the Level 39 Agony Keeper boss.
Gourmet Saga: Berry Scavenging Sub-Quest
Region: Frozen Valley
Talk to the man by the bridge, and he’ll ask you for Apples and Wheat. Both of these ingredients can be found in White Silver Plains.
Brave New World Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Fountain Plaza Avenue
Brave New World is a side quest that involves only a short cutscene. Since it has a lot of requirements, it is one of the last quests you’ll complete in the game. To get this quest, you’ll want to finish The Phantom Flower of Nevira, The Spirit Temple, Farewell, Mage, and Untamable Rage.
The quest-giver is the Manager in front of the Cysloden Fountain Plaza Avenue. Talk to the Manager, then agree to go with him. Watch the cutscene, and the quest ends.
A Humbling Lesson Sub-Quest
Region: Cysloden Fountain Plaza Avenue
After you finish the previous quest, talk to the Manager again and agree to take another dip. This time, the cutscene involves Shionne, Kisara, and Rinwell. Feel free to ignore the Law failed to unlock the title Dirty-Minded Devil warning. Again, after the cutscene, the quest completes.
The Owl Forest Sub-Quest
Region: Nevira Snowplains
This quest starts automatically when you travel toward Cysloden and requires you to find all 38 hidden Owls.
All Tales of Arise Menancia Sub-Quests Locations & Guides
The third region, Menancia, is the richest when it comes to side quests. It includes 21, as you can see below. Here is how to finish all Tales of Arise Menancia Sub-Quests.
A Healer and Her Patients Sub-Quest
Region: Overseer Hill
This starts automatically when you explore Overseer Hill. Simply heal the two patients down the hill, then heal the Wonder Bard nearby.
Refreshing Roughhousing Sub-Quest
Region: Traslida Highway
Started and completed automatically when you enter this region as part of the Through the Greenery Main Quest.
Pharia Ranch Sub-Quest
Region: Traslida Highway
Talk to the man on the ground at the crossroads, and he’ll introduce you to farming. Now, you can grow your own stock.
Taste-Testing Tusks Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
When you enter Viscint, talk to the man by the bridge, and he’ll ask you to bring 4 Grantine Fangs. If you have them, hand them over. If not, kill some boars in Traslida Highway.
Training Grounds for All Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
This Tales of Arise sub-quest is triggered when you reach the central plaza in Viscint. Just enter the Training Grounds to complete it.
Claiming a Bounty Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
Talk to the man near the central plaza, and he’ll send you to kill a Great Dragon in Traslida Highway. Tread carefully because it’s a boss.
Gourmet Saga: Palace Delicacy Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
This quest becomes available only after you complete Gourmet Saga: Berry Scavenging in Cyslodia. The NPC is the same Gouderno, but this time, he’ll ask you for 2x Beef, 4x Potato, 4x Tomato, and 2x Mushroom.
Beef, Potatoes, and Tomatoes can be found by looting the Collection Points in Traslida Highway. Mushrooms are also very common. For example, you can find them in Sandinus Ravine in Calaglia, close to the Mantis boss. If you explored all areas, most likely, you have all the materials required by Gouderno.
Getting Rusty Sub-Quest
Region: Traslida Highway
Tales of Arise Getting Rusty Sub-Quest is unlocked while playing The City of Coexistence main quest. Talk to Dahnan Man by the well in Traslida Highway, then kill 8 Earthern Mass.The Earthern Mass are flying Zeugles. Make sure you kill them within the marked area, and if you run out of enemies to kill, force them to respawn by resting at the campfire.
Dohalim, Big Game Hunter Sub-Quest
Region: Traslida Highway
This quest becomes available after both Dohalim and Kisara join your party just before leaving Elde Menancia. Talk to the Frontier Woman, then kill the Gigant Zeugle across the river to the north. Again, tread carefully because the Alpha Reaper is a level 25 boss.
A Boorish Boar Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
Similar to the previous quest, just before leaving Menancia, you can talk to Lagill in Viscint. Head back to Traslida Highway and kill the Relentless Charger, which is a level 26 boss.
Walking Crag Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
Also, in Viscint, after you recruit Kisara and Dohalim, talk to the Quarry Laborer by the northern bridge, and he’ll send you to deal with the Flamewrecker in Razum Quarry Mining Site 1. The boss is located just north of the NPC and is a level 28 Stone Golem.
An Invitation to Fish Sub-Quest
Region: Talka Pond Road
An Invitation to Fish starts as you depart Menancia. When you enter Talka Pond Road while playing Valley of the Four Winds Main Quest, you’ll see a secluded pond. Basically, this quest serves as an introduction to the Tales of Arise fishing activity. Catch a fish, and the quest ends.
The Stud from the Plains Sub-Quest
Region: Pharia Farm
This quest becomes available only later in the game. To unlock it, first, you’ll need to complete the Pharia Ranch quest above; then, you’ll need to defeat the fifth lord. As you follow the story, eventually, you’ll return to Cyslodia (The Wedge Main Quest).
When this happens, visit the Pharia Ranch and talk to Bogdel. Now travel to Viscint and talk to the Young Dahnan Woman southwest from the Inn. She’ll give you Bogdel’s Work Uniform, so head back to him, and he’ll send you to find his bull. Bogdel’s Bull is on the northeastern side of Traslida Highway. Kill the boars nearby, and the quest ends.
An Eternal Rivalry Sub-Quest
Region: Training Grounds
This quest is best approached when you return to Cyslodia while playing The Wedge Main Quest, which starts after you defeat the fifth Lord. Enter the Training Grounds and talk to the Armored Soldier. Simply defeat Lagill while playing with Kisara, and the quest ends.
The Phantom Flower of Nevira Sub-Quest
Region: Autelina Palace Library
Once you complete the previous quest, head to Autelina Palace Library during the same time frame, and you’ll trigger a cutscene and The Phantom Flower of Nevira quest. To complete it, you’ll want to travel to Cyslodia Nevira Snowplains and defeat the Level 54 Meneiys boss in the area behind the central island. Make sure your team is ready for this one because it’s quite powerful.
Spirit Temple Sub-Quest
Region: Traslida Highway
This quest can only be approached once you defeat the fifth boss. The moment you regain the option to fast-travel (on your way back to Cyslodia), find the Anxious Man in front of the cart. He’ll send you to investigate the Tietal Plain, which is the area just north of your current location. Once in that region, head through the portal in front of you, and you’ll enter a dungeon.
You won’t have access to a map, but it is a linear area, and your goal is to move through a series of portals. These will get you to a large area where you’ll need to face a level 65 Grand Gnome. Be advised that at first, he is accompanied by 2x Level 60 Gnome Jammers, 2x Level 61 Gnome Gunners, and 1x Level 62 Gnome Guard.
After you deal with the first wave of mobs, you’ll encounter a Level 62 Vas Phein and then the Grand Gnome. Do not worry about him, though, but about the mobs you’ll need to deal with before the actual boss fight, which is easier than you think.
Bibliophile Sub-Quest
Region: Auteliana Palace 1F Library
This quest is unlocked after Dohalim joins your party. It is triggered in Auteliana Palace Library by talking to Tigrina; however, because this quest requires a lot of materials that come from areas you’ll reach close to the end of the game, you’ll need to finish it after you beat the story. Dahna’s Tastiest Pancake Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint Inn
Dahna’s Tastiest Pancake is a very accessible Sub-Quest, but it has several requirements that force you to complete it after the story. To be able to play it, first, you’ll have to finish Kisara’s Initiation Side-Quest in Mahag Saar. See the guide further below.
Then, you’ll need to finish the Bibliophile Sub-Quest above. Finally, you’ll also need to unlock the Pharia Ranch by finishing the corresponding Sub-Quest we covered above because Dahna’s Tastiest Pancake quest requires access to the farm.
When all these are completed, head to the Inn in Viscint and find the Sweets Seller by the counter. Next, head to Pharia Ranch in Menancia and talk to Bogdel. Once the skit ends, the quest is complete.
Another Hillside Anomaly Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
This Sub-Quest becomes available after you finish the Spirit Temple quest above. Because of the boss you’ll need to defeat for that quest, Another Hillside Anomaly is best approached after the story. To start it, find the Cattle Rancher in Viscint. He is standing near a cow west of the inn.
Talk to him, and he’ll send you to the Tietal Plains area north of Traslida Highway. Simply head through the portal and talk to the Space-Time Researcher inside the temple’s inner sanctum.
Otherworldly Visitors Sub-Quest
Region: Earth Spirit Temple
Otherworldly Visitors starts automatically upon completing the previous quest. It is one of the last quests you’ll complete in Tales of Arise because of its difficulty. Basically, after you start the quest, you’ll have to use the key you get from the Space-Time Researcher to enter a high-difficulty dungeon that ends with a boss fight.
The said boss drops another key that opens a new dungeon, and so on. There is a total of 6 dungeons or rifts you’ll have to cross to reach the final boss named Chronos. He is level 95 and hits really hard. The good thing, however, is that after you beat him once, you can continue to defeat Chronos to farm XP and reach level 100.
With Chronos defeated return to the Space-Time Researcher to finish the quest. If you want to make the most out of this quest, return to Traslida Highway after each boss and cook a meal to boost the XP gained. Also, take your time exploring the rifts because the best gear in Tales of Arise is found in the chests within these areas.
Record Collection Sub-Quest
Region: Viscint
Record Collection is the last quest you’ll complete in the game because one of the requirements is to finish all 69 Sub-Quests if you wish to make the NPC spawn at the entrance of the Training Grounds. On top of this, you’ll also want to complete all Solo Training sessions on the Training Grounds.
Once you do this, look for the Wonder Bard outside the Training Grounds in Viscint, and he’ll ask you to start a really impressive trip during which you’ll talk to the most notable NPCs in the game. Basically, you’ll revisit all areas starting with Calaglia, and you’ll once more talk to the quest-givers you’ve met in the game. Their locations are marked on the map, so simply move between areas using the closest fast-travel points.
All Tales of Arise Mahag Saa Sub-Quests Locations & Guides
Since it’s smaller, the Mahag Saar area includes only 8 Sub-Quests. Again, some of them have specific requirements. Here is how to complete all Tales of Arise Mahag Saa Sub-Quests.
City Renewal Sub-Quest
Region: Niez
Upon reaching Niez, talk to the Beast-Hating Man near the fast travel point to start the quest. The NPC appears the moment you are asked to rest at the Inn (Scorched Earth main quest), and he’ll ask for 3 Demihuman Muscles. You can get the Tales of Arise Demihuman Muscles from the Rioter Claws on Mount Dhiara.
Kisara’s Initiation Sub-Quest
Region: Niez
Kisara’s Initiation can be completed immediately after the previous Sub-Quest. Inside the Inn, talk to the Food Manager on the right side as you enter. She’ll ask for 4x Pepper, 2x Beef, 4x Potato, and 2x Salmon.
Assuming you don’t have these ingredients, the closest areas where you can find them are:
- Aqfotle Hills – Pepper and Potato. Look for these at the Collection Points
- Adan Lake – Salmon. The lake is found south of Aqfotle Hills. Swim and look for Collection Points
- Pharia Farm – Beef. Simply grow your stock
After you get all the ingredients, hand them over to the woman.
The Mysterious Pair Sub-Quest
Region: Niez
Tales of Arise The Mysterious Pair is a Sub-Quest that involves a small riddle you’ll need to figure out. It is quite accessible, and by completing this quest, you’ll receive an Iron Pipe, which is required to craft one of the best weapons for Alphen. This quest becomes available after you finish A Healer and Her Patients in Menancia Overseer Hill.
Then, when you reach Niez, you’ll see the Wonder Bard, who is going to give you 3 Wonder Texts:
- Wonder Text #1: Just beyond the hovels in a land shrouded by sand and stone.
- Wonder Text #2: The northernmost reaches of a wasteland to the north of an abandoned village
- Wonder Text #3: It lies dormant at the back of a narrow road to the west, whereupon an ancient tower stands
You can read these by accessing your inventory, and obviously, to finish the quest, you’ll need to solve this puzzle. The answer here is actually pretty simple:
- “Land shrouded by sand and stone” – This line presents Calaglia
- “Wasteland to the north of an abandoned village” – The abandoned village is in Iglia Wastes
- “Whereupon an ancient tower stands” – The ancient tower is the one in Fagan Ruins
Now that you know how to solve the Tales of Arise Mysterious Pair riddle, open your map and fast-travel to Iglia Wastes. When you reach the area, open your map again, and east of the Fagan Ruins transition point, you’ll see a canyon (dead end).
Head there and check the bushes to spot a glowing Collection Point that is not marked on your map. Get the Iron Pipe, then return to the Bard in Niez to finish this Sub-Quest.
Gourmet Saga: Prairie Scent Sub-Quest
Region: Aqfotle Hills
When you travel from Niez to Aqfotle Hills, once again, you’ll find Gouderno.He spawns by the road if you completed all previous Gourmet Saga Sub-Quests and he has a new request. This time he needs:
- 4x Lettuce
- 2x Apples
- 4x Lemons
If you don’t have these, simply enter Adan Lake through the southern transition point and look for them at the usual Collection Points.
Echoes Sub-Quest
Region: Niez
This Sub-Quest can be approached after you return to Cyslodia (The Wedge Main Quest). Talk to Baephon near the Fast-Travel Point in Niez, and he’ll send you to defeat the giant zeugles in Este Luvah Forest.
Fast-travel to the western Aqfotle Hills Camping Point, then enter Este Luvah Forest Fortress Ruins Ground Level. Take the elevator to B1, then drop to Fortress Ruins Basement 2F using the southwestern descent point. Now, defeat both Ruthless and Ruthess bosses. These are Level 43 Zeugles.
Skybound Swarm Sub-Quest
Region: Hidden Warf
After you complete the previous quest, head to the Hidden Warf and talk to the Fleeing Man in the central area. He’ll ask Alphen and his team to deal with the zeugle swarms on the Aqfotle Hills. The targets are found on the southwestern side of the hills. Basically, here, you’ll need to defeat the Level 42 Mother Boomy boss and 3 Level 31 Wild Boomy mobs.
Owl Sanctuary Sub-Quest
Region: Niez
This Sub-Quest is best approached after beating the game and after returning at least 3 Owls to the Owl Forest. To start, look for Giselle on the eastern side of Niez, by the round fountain. Talk to her, then find the purple owl at the end of the alley nearby. The owl’s location is marked on your map.
Now, fast travel to the Owl Forest, and here, you’ll have to pick between three owls. Pick the jet-black female owl (hint provided by Giselle), then pick the big basket to get the Sandwich Recipe. Now return to Giselle to finish this quest.
Farewell, Mage Sub-Quest
Region: Niez
The Farewell Mage Sub-Quest is best approached after finishing the story because it involves a secret boss. On top of this, you’ll also need to finish all Sub-Quests listed above. Once you do that, find Baephon near the fast-travel point in Niez to start the quest.
To complete it, you’ll need to return to Menancia and Mount Dhiara Ridge. On top of the Tower of the Wind Spirit, you’ll face Procella Sylph, a level 70 boss. While the boss is not hard, the mobs you’ll need to defeat before Procella Sylph can prove difficult, so make sure you are prepared. With the Procella Sylph defeated, return to the quest-giver.
All Tales of Arise Ganath Haros Sub-Quests Locations & Guides
Next, we have Ganath Haros, which features 12 Sub-Quests. Let’s see how to complete all of them.
Fishing Fiends Sub-Quest
Region: Thistlym
This quest becomes available after you deal with the invasion in Thistlym. Talk to the man in the upper section of the village, then head towards Shinefall Woods nearby. Here, you’ll want to find 4 Terrapin Fists.
They look like gorillas with blue fists. Two of them can be found near the northern fishing spot. Kill them, then fast-travel back and kill them again.
Pelegion’s Zeugle Mascot Sub-Quest
Region: Pelegion Level 1
This quest can be accessed after you deal with the fifth lord once you liberate Ganath Haros. In Pelegion Level 1, find the Young Dahnan Woman north of the fast-travel point, and she’ll send you to defeat 5 Wild Boomy. To find the Tales of Arise Wild Boomy, fast-travel to Shinefall Woods western camp, then use the Entrance-Aureum Falls transition point to get to the actual Waterfalls.
Now, you’ll want to push forward until you get to the Aureum Falls Waterfalls area, and you’ll find the Wild Bloomy south of the Upper-Level Interior transition point. These are small flying creatures with claws, but only three will spawn, so once you kill them, head back to Shinefall Woods and follow the same path.
Catching Up Sub-Quest
Region: Pelegion Level 1
Opposed to the Dahnan Woman above, find the Young Carpenter after you deal with the fifth lord. Talk to him, and you’ll be asked to bring 3 Infused Statue Fragments. The Tales of Arise Infused Statue Fragments come from the Killer Effigy in Del Fharis Castle and Forland Mountain.
Alternatively, they are dropped by Chaotic Figures in The Wedge. These enemies look like gargoyles, and by the time you start this quest, you’ll most likely have the required Infused Statue Fragments.
Master of Nature Sub-Quest
Region: Pelegion Level 2
For this quest, you’ll have to talk to the Frightened Boy on Pelegion Level 2 after you kill the fifth lord. You’ll find the quest-giver on the eastern side, and he’ll ask you to defeat the nature-manipulating zeugle. This is a boss found in the center of Latvu Marshlands; however, keep in mind that this level 42 Elemental multiplies and hits hard.
Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy Sub-Quest
Region: Pelegion Level 2
Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy is a Sub-Quests that involves more ingredients for Gourdeno, but this time you’ll also need to figure out a series of riddles. Basically, for this quest, which can be unlocked only after you finish all Gourmet Saga Sub-Quests above, Gourdeno asks for:
- 6x Rice
- 4x Stimulating Powder
- 2x Neither Swine nor Hare Meat
- 2x White, Soft, and Fluffy Objects
Here is what they are and where you can find them:
- Rice – This is an ingredient that can be found at Collection Points in Lavtu Marshlands, which is part of the Ganath Haros area
- Stimulating Powder – If you don’t know what this is, the answer is Pepper. It’s a very common ingredient you can find at Collection Points in most areas, including the Lavtu Marshland above
- Neither Swine nor Hare Meat – It’s the Rappig Meat that comes from Rappigs you can grow at Pharia Ranch in Menancia. Make sure you unlock the Rappigs by constantly growing other livestock
- White, Soft, and Fluffy Objects – Gourdeno is actually looking for Tofu, which can be purchased from the Pelegion Inn in Ganath Haros.
These are all Tales of Arise Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy ingredient locations. Bring them back to Gourdeno, and he’ll give you the Mabo Curry Recipe.
Missing Lover Sub-Quest
Region: Thistlym
Just before heading to the Forland Mountains (The Way Forward Main Quest), travel to Thistlym and talk to the Pensive Woman. Cagari (that’s the name of the woman) is found on the southwestern side of Thistlym, but she won’t spawn unless you heal the Renan Soldier in Talka Pond Road (Menancia).
If you did that, talk to her, and she’ll ask you to search for Nottio. To find Nottio, first fast-travel to Pelegion Level 3 and look for Ganye east of the fast-travel point. Talk to Ganye, then head to Talka Pond Road and talk to the Renan Soldier north of the southern fast-travel point.
Seaside Tornadoes Sub-Quest
Region: Thistlym
After returning to Cyslodia (The Wedge Main Quest), travel to Thistlym and talk to the Dahnan Elder. You’ll find him close to the Tuah Seashore transition point, and he’ll ask you to kill the giant bird zeugle along Tuah Seashore. This zeugle is, in fact, the Stormbringer boss, and there are several mobs close to him. Make sure you are prepared for a good fight.
Untamable Rage Sub-Quest
Region: Thistlym
Similar to the previous quest, after returning to Cyslodia (The Wedge Main Quest), travel to Thistlym and talk to the Elderly Fishing Fan. He is in the upper section of the village (above the inn). For the Tales of Arise Untamable Rage Sub-Quest, enter Shinefall Woods and head south towards the Camping Point.
Behind the small lake nearby is a cave you can access. Once inside the Fogwharl Limestone Caverns, keep heading south until you enter Fogwharl Limestone Caverns Inner Sanctum.
Here, you’ll need to defeat Undine Drop, a level 56 boss. Then he’ll turn into a level 60 boss named Luo Undine. Both of them hit very hard, so make sure you are ready for this boss fight. Once you beat Luo Undine, check the Legendary Fishing Spot in the cave behind the boss, then head back to the Elderly Fishing Man.
Her Place Sub-Quest
Region: Shinefall Woods
Once you return to Cyslodia (The Wedge Main Quest), travel to Shinefall Woods and find the Dahnan Man near the southern Camping Point. He is in the upper section of the village (above the inn). For the Tales of Arise Untamable Rage Sub-Quest, enter Shinefall Woods and head south towards the Camping Point.
Now, head north and look for the queen bee zeugle or the Regent Bee. It’s a Level 45 Boss with 5 Level 43 mobs nearby.
A Talk with Tilsa Sub-Quest
Region: Pelegion Level 2
After returning from “The Wedge,” before heading back to Ulzebek, find Tilsa south of Pelegion Level 2 fast-travel point and talk to her. That’s all you have to do for this short quest.
Their Future Sub-Quest
Region: Pelegion Level 3
This quest can be completed after you finish Missing Lover. Head to Pelegion Level 3 and talk to the Renan Soldier near the fast-travel point. Now, just enter Saxleoh Temple and attend the wedding.
Beyond the Grave Sub-Quest
Region: Tuah Seashore
Beyond the Grave is one of the Tales of Arise hidden Sub-Quests you can only start after you finish the story. Although this quest becomes available upon reaching Rena, since you can’t fast travel back to Ganath Haros, you’ll want to get back here after the story. To begin the quest, first, get to Thistlym, then enter Tuah Seashore to begin a small cutscene involving a bottle.
After the cutscene, travel to Mahag Saar Hidden Warf and talk to Mahavar, the NPC marked by a green dot on your map. After you show him the map, ask him to take you to Uninhabited Island. Now, feel free to explore the island if this is your first visit, but for this quest, you’ll need to defeat the Level 59 Mesmald in the upper northern section.
Tales of Arise Lenegis Sub-Quest Location & Guide
While crossing Lenegis, you’ll need to finish one Sub-Quest.
Renans and their Lods Sub-Quest
Region: Residential Zone 16
This side-quest starts while playing Lenegis Main Quest. When you try to leave Residential Zone 16, you’ll trigger a short cutscene, and you’ll be asked to talk to the people who support their lords.
They are marked on your map. First, talk to Elderly Renan Man, then to Renan Woman, and then to Renan Man. Now, enter Residential Zone 4 and talk to the last two citizens to complete the quest.
Tales of Arise Daeq Faezol Sub-Quests Locations & Guides
As an end-game region, Daeq Faezol comes with 5 Sub-Quests. All of them are focused on very powerful bosses, so make sure your team is prepared.
Tissue Sample Sub-Quest
Region: Daeq Faezol Lower Level
Talk to the Irresponsible Biologist A in the northern section of Daeq Faezol Lower Level, and he’ll send you to hunt down a Zeugle. It is found in Rena Gegham Helgarahi Upper-Level 3F, and it is a level 54 Calamity Arms boss.
An Ambition Fulfilled Sub-Quest
Region: Daeq Faezol Lower Level
At the same location as the previous quest, but after you finish the Tissue Sample Sub-Quest, talk to Irresponsible Biologist B. You’ll trigger a boss fight against a Level 52 Helganquil.
The Super Zeugle Sub-Quest
Region: Daeq Faezol Lower Level
At the same location but this time after you finish the previous quest, talk to Male Lab Worker and get ready for another hunt. This time, you’ll want to travel to Mahag Saar, then to Adan Lake to defeat both Masher Bull and Masher Mare. They are Level 56 Bosses.
The Ultimate Zeugle Sub-Quest
Region: Daeq Faezol Lower Level
Finally, after the previous quest, obviously, in the same place, talk to the Female Lab Worker and then head to Menancia Mount Dhiara Mountain Base. Here, you’ll have to defeat the Level 69 Ezamamuk boss.
The Reminiscence Device Sub-Quest
Region: Daeq Faezol Lower Level
The last Sub-Quest in this guide is also the hardest in the game. This one starts only after you beat the story and only after you create a new save data. The Quest Giver is on the southern side of Daeq Faezol Lower Level.
When you talk to Lab Worker A, you’ll start a simulation that has several rounds, and you’ll have to face the Lords again. Except that this time, they are more powerful. Here is the order and their levels:
- Phantom Balseph (Lv. 95) & Phantom Fire Avatar (Lv. 95)
- Phantom Ganabelt (Lv. 96)
- Phantom Dohalim (Lv. 97)
- Phantom Almeidrea & Mesmald (Lv. 98)
- Phantom Vholran (Lv. 99)
- All of the above at the same time. When one boss dies, another one takes his place, so you’ll fight against a team of two
- Phantom Zephyr (Lv. 100)
Defeat all of them, and the quest ends. These are all Tales of Arise Sub Quests you’ll need to complete if you want to unlock the Problem Solver achievement/trophy.
