The Tales of Arise Trench of Flames East Side locked door is not as complicated as the Iglia Wastes Map Action boulder, but it’s equally important because it allows you to complete a hidden quest you don’t want to miss. Basically, the Tales of Arise locked door in the Trench of Flames East Side area is related to one of the 70 Sub-Quests you’ll have to complete in the video game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Therefore, below, I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the Calaglia Trench of Flames East Side locked door in Tales of Arise, including how to open it and what is behind it.

Tales of Arise Trench of Flames East Side Locked Door Location

Tales of Arise Trench of Flames East Side Locked Door

As you can see on the map above, the Tales of Arise door in question is located on the western side of the Trench of Flames East Side region of Calaglia. The location of the door is indicated by the three question marks in the screenshot.

You’ll stumble upon it very early in the game, and the idea here is to not waste your time trying to open it. If you want to know why, the answer is simple. Because you don’t have the key and it is quite far away.

East Side Door Key Location

As said, for this door, you’ll need a key, which luckily is obtained automatically, simply by progressing through the story. The actual Tales of Arise Trench of Flames East Side locked door key location is Berg Volcano.

This area is reached close to the end of the game when you have to leave for Lenegis. Even though it’s in Calaglia, you won’t be able to access it earlier, so don’t bother with it. Obviously, to be able to get the key, you’ll need to face a boss named Efreet Malum. You can see him below, and while I won’t bother you with tactics, you may want to try some water-based attacks.

Now, once you deal with this guy, you’ll automatically obtain a Secret Key. This is the key you’ll need to open the Trench of Flames locked door.

The problem, however, is that the fast travel will be disabled most of the time, so if you can’t find a time frame to head back to the door, focus on finishing the story, and once you do that, reload the save that is automatically created after the credits.
