Liberation Operation is a short side mission during which you are asked to find and kill a Foreman who is overseeing an old workshop in Scrapland; however, the Scrapland Foreman also comes with a possible video game bug. Although relatively easy to complete, The Ascent Liberation Operation bug you may encounter can stop you from finishing this side mission.

As such, below I’ll tell you what you have to do if you can’t find the Scrapland Foreman and obviously how to complete Liberation Operation in the video game developed by Neon Giant. Here is some general information and FAQs.

When Should You Start the Liberation Operation Mission

The recommended level for this side mission is 25, so you can start it during one of your visits to Nitroad, but you may want to complete it after Plug & Play (as explained below).

What Do You Get for Completing Liberation Operation Side Mission

For finishing this side mission, you’ll get 40.000 XP and the Dismemberer.

Where To Find the Foreman

The Foreman is found on the southern side of Scrapland.

Where Can You Find Lockesley (Liberation Operation Quest Giver)

Lockesley is working at the EightCo reception in Nitroad. You can see the building’s location on the map below, as well as Lockesley.

How To Get To Scrapland in the Ascent

After you talk to Lockesley in Nitroad (Tier Warrens), your first objective is to go to Scrapland. Since you unlocked the fast-traveling system, call a taxi and travel to Arcology The Warrens, then use the elevator on the left side to get to Tier Highstreet.

Now, if you open the map, you’ll see that Scrapland is north of The Node. If this area is uncharted, get to The Node and forget about this quest a bit. Instead, start the Plug & Play side-mission, and eventually, you’ll get to talk to Grigori.

Once you do that, you’ll get access to an elevator that allows you to enter Scrapland. You can see the elevator pictured below.

The Ascent How To Get To Scrapland

Do this only if you can’t get to Scrapland. Assuming the path is clear, and you already unlocked this region, once you enter, you are asked to locate the Foreman.

Where To Find the Scrapland Foreman

The Scrapland Foreman is relatively easy to spot. He is inside a building overseeing the camp. The location should be marked on your map; however, if you can’t find it, use the images below.

Get inside the room, then head downstairs and talk to him. Once you do that, you’ll have to kill him to progress the mission. Depending on your level, he can be an accessible opponent or not. If you can’t take him down, level up your character and weapons.

Possible Ascent Liberation Operation Bug: Disappearing Foreman

As mentioned, this quest might be bugged for some players. The bug basically makes the Foreman vanish after you talk to him. If this happens, completely close the game, then restart your console.

If the bug persists, progress the game’s story by completing the next main mission in line, then return to Scrapland. After you kill the Foreman in Scrapland, head back to Lockesley in Tier Warrens to claim your rewards and remove Liberation Operation from your Ascent missions list.
