Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Forgotten Treads Treasure Caches Guide

West of Bill’s Ranch in the Grasslands area of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you can find the Forgotten Treads Cache Location, which holds only two Treasure Chests. Compared to other Cache Locations, such as Jadewind Hill, for example, the Forgotten Treads is the most accessible because you can spot both chests from afar. Regardless, in this guide, I’ll tell you where they are.

Where To Find the Forgotten Treads Cache Location

As shown on the following FFVII Rebirth map, the Forgotten Treads landmark is found just west of Bill’s Ranch, where Cloud and his team learn how to tame and ride Chocobos. To get to the location I have marked faster, I recommend catching Piko first by focusing on the story.

Where To Find the Two Forgotten Treads Treasure Chests

After you get your first Chocobo, head to the location on my map above. As you can notice, the landmark is on the west side of a small mountain. Go around the mountain, but stay close to its wall. Eventually, you’ll spot a rusted vehicle that looks like a tank.

Dismount and check both sides of the vehicle. On the right side, you’ll find the first Forgotten Treads Treasure Chest, containing 1.000 Gil. To get to it, smash the wooden crates, which also contain a lot of loot.

Now, for the second chest, all you need to do is to check the other side of the tank. Go around it, and you’ll spot it in the grass. After you open it you’ll obtain a hi-potion, so now I recommend heading to the Marshy Mire Cache Location.
