Marshy Mire is the second Treasure Cache Location in the Grasslands Swamp area of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but unlike the first one (Mistveil Reservoir), it requires you to progress the story. Simply put, in order to get the Marshy Mire Treasure Chests (which are very accessible), you’ll need to complete Chapter 2 in Cloud’s story.
Where To Find the FFVII Rebirth Marshy Mire Cache Location
The Mistveil Reservoir and the Treasure Caches you must collect are found south of Morass Lifespring, close to the Mythril Mine Entrance. You can see the landmark’s location on the map below, and as you can notice, to get to it, you’ll need to follow the right river channel.
The problem with this Cache is that when you reach the southern point of the river channel, you’ll automatically trigger a boss fight, so make sure you are ready. I won’t spoil the surprise, but you should be prepared for a challenging battle.
Where To Find the Two Final Fantasy 7 Marshy Mire Treasure Chests
After you deal with the boss and complete the second Chapter in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, before going inside the Mythril Mine, head northwest and follow the river. Eventually, you’ll reach a dead end, and you should be able to spot both Treasure Caches.
The Chest by the stone wall (right side above) contains a bottle of hi-eter, while the second one, by the mountain wall, contains a ruby. Once you find both of them, head north to the desert area to get the Mako Pipe Junction Chests.
