Grasslands Guides:

Updated March 5, 2024

Mako Pipe Junction is a landmark and a Cache Location found in the rocky desert area of the Grasslands. It features two FFVII Rebirth Treasure Chests, and you’ll need both of them to mark this Cache Location as completed. Luckily, both are pretty easy to spot, but if you struggle to find them, I’ll tell you where they are in the following guide.

Where To Find the FFVII Rebirth Mako Pipe Junction Cache Location

As you can notice on the map below, this Cache Location is close to the center of the desert area, southwest of Kalm City. It is only several meters east of the deposit where Divisionary Tactics Phenomenon Intel 3 takes place. To the west, you can also see a Chocobo Stop, which I recommend repairing.

Mako Pipe Junction is found in the center of the desert area.

Upon arriving at the location I have marked, look around for a rather large suspended pipe you can’t miss. Both Mako Pipe Junction Treasure Chests are under the said pipe.

Where To Find the Two Final Fantasy 7 Mako Pipe Junction Treasure Chests

As you can notice in the following screenshot, the first chest is found at the base of a large pipe coming out from the ground. It’s on the eastern side of the search area on your map. Inside this chest, you’ll find five chunks of lea titanium.

The first Mako Pipe Junction Chest is found at the base of a large pipe pointing towards Kalm City.

For the second Treasure Chest at Mako Pipe Junction, remain under the suspended pipes but head west to find another pipe coming out from the ground. This cache is found on the opposite side of the previous one. Once you open it, you’ll get your hands on three grenades Cloud can use in battle.

The second Mako Pipe Junction Cache is found at the base of another large pipe heading west.
