The Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Fatty Giant Fish, just like the Alien Whitefish Fin Muscle; is a cooking ingredient but above all, it is an important quest item you’ll need in order to advance through the story of DBZ Kakarot.
Precisely, the DBZ Kakarot Fatty Giant Fish is needed while playing Episode 8 of the Android Saga, or the third saga in the video game developed by CyberConnect2 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
When you reach the said episode, which by the way is called Fleeting Normality, Chi-Chi will ask you to bring her (again) several cooking ingredients.
Since we already covered the first two, it seems normal to discuss the last one as well.
So, below I’ll show you a great spot for farming the Fatty Fish in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.
How Do You Get Fatty Giant Fish in DBZ Kakarot
Since this is a common cooking ingredient, there is a good chance that by the time Chi-Chi asks you for it, you already have some Fatty Giant Fish in your inventory; especially because the Master sub-story grants you 2 units.
If you don’t have it though; when you start the Fleeting Normality, you’ll be near Goku’s House in Southeast Mountains Area.
As you can see, below is the area map, as well as the fishing spot you’ll want to visit to get Fatty Giant Fish.
It is located just northwest of Goku’s House.
When you get to the spot on the map, your goal is to catch a Big Fish.
It is a purple type of fish, and it is quite common.
The Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Big Fish is the one from which you’ll get the Fatty Fish as well as Extra Fatty Giant Fish and Lean Fatty Giant Fish.
You can see it below.
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Fatty Giant Fish Farming
To catch this type of fish, you don’t need any special bait; although you can use some Holy Crab! S to get more Fatty Fish from the Big Fish you catch.
The strategy I have used at this fishing spot to catch a Big Fish, is the same one I have used for some of the rarest species in the game (Huge Trout, Turquoise Trout, Golden Trout, Scarlet Catfish, and even Goliath Catfish).
Just wiggle your character’s tail when the biggest fish is facing you, and the rest are facing away.
That’s all you have to do to catch one; but keep in mind that just like in rea-life, fishing requires patience.
Obviously, in order to farm at this spot, you’ll have to travel to another region, then head back here so the fish can respawn.
Do you know better locations to get this ingredient?
