Ghost of Tsushima Iki Island Blood-Stained Shrine Guide

Blood-Stained Shrine, or the Blood-Stained Wind Shrine, is one of the three Ghost Of Tsushima Forgotten Shrines introduced by Sucker Punch Productions in the Iki Island DLC.

The Ghost Of Tsushima Blood-Stained Shrine allows you to unlock another unique armor skin for Jin Sakai if you know how to solve the corresponding puzzle. So, below, I’ll tell you how to unlock the Bloodborne Armor Skin for Jin.

The Blood-Stained Shrine is found on the southwestern side of Iki Island. As you can see on my map below, it is located in the Conoura Cape region.

Blood-Stained Shrine Puzzle Solution

Once you approach the location marked above, you’ll find the shrine in a small and secluded cemetery. Approach it and read the scroll on the small wooden bench in front of it. The scroll comes with the following riddle:

“The first green of spring
sickens to black, decaying,
plagued by blood and beast.
Hunter, reject death’s allure.
Prepare to duel man’s frailty.”

From this poem, you can get two important clues:

• Hunter, reject death’s allure – This line refers to rejecting death by healing.
• Prepare to duel man’s frailty – This line refers to The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale and a duel you’ll have to complete when you play the said tale.

Now, in order to solve the riddle, first, you must equip the Kensei Armor Set. This set is unlocked when you finish the main quest named The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale and duel Kojiro. Once you change your outfit from the menu, place Jin in front of the shrine and heal him.

To do so, press Down on your D-Pad; however, since you can’t heal Jin unless he is hurt, consider injuring him by jumping off the cliffs nearby. You can try jumping from the highest one, right in front of the shrine. Once he is hurt, head back to the shrine and heal him while wearing the Kensei Armor.

This results in another beautiful cutscene you’ll surely love. When the cutscene ends, the puzzle is solved, and you’ll unlock the Bloodborne Armor Set (pictured above), which includes:

• Yharnam Helm
• Yharnam Vestments
