Loboto’s Labyrinth Memory Vaults count as Psychonauts 2 collectibles you’ll have to find and chase the moment you start the video game developed by Double Fine Productions in order to reveal repressed memories for specific characters.
The Psychonauts 2 Memory Vaults are relatively easy to get; however, throughout the locations guide below, I’ll tell you where to find them just in case you need help. Along with other collectibles, as you can guess, these are required to obtain 100% completion in Loboto’s Labyrinth area.
The Memory Vaults are small safes that run around and look like pigs. They allow you to unlock specific memories for the characters you meet in the game. There are 2 Memory Vaults you’ll have to find while exploring the mind of Loboto.
Although easy to find, the Memory Vaults in Loboto’s Labyrinth can be problematic mainly because you won’t be able to get both of them in your first run. As such, you should follow the instructions below to clear this area.
Memory Vault #1 – Conference Room
The first Memory Vault can be found during the first playthrough. As you start the game, keep pushing toward Loboto’s mind until you get to the Conference Room. This room can’t be missed because here you’ll get to meet some of your enemies. Basically, this is where you learn how to fight.
So, focus on defeating the Censor, then once you clear the area, look for a shelf with a lot of boxes on it. Destroy the boxes, and behind the shelf, you’ll see the Memory Vault pictured below. Hit it several times to collect it.
Memory Vault #2 – Asylum
After you get the first Memory Vault above, it’s time for you to forget about the second one and focus on the story. Your goal is to unlock the Mental Connection Badge and the ability to replay areas. Both of them come naturally simply by focusing on the events ahead.
Specifically, you’ll have to finish Operation Lady Luctopus mission. Once you’re done with that mission, use Sasha’s Collective Unconscious in his office and replay Loboto’s Labyrinth. When you travel back for the first time, you’ll have to interact with the green worm and fast-travel to the area known as Asylum.
Immediately after you reach your destination, turn right, and you’ll see several white circles. You can grab those using the Mental Connection, and as you can see below, they will take you to the second Memory Vault.
