Tunic Fortress Of The Eastern Vault Golden Chest Locations

Tunic Fortress Of The Eastern Vault Golden Chests can be looted to get the little fox hero a bit stronger in the video game published by Finji. There are eleven Gold Chests in the Fortress Of The Eastern Vault area that will get you the following:

  • Lure
  • Pressed Petal
  • Game Currency
  • Ice Bomb
  • Leaves
  • Potion Shard
  • Blue Fruit
  • Ability Card

The Fortress Of The Eastern Vault area is split into two parts. You start from the south, and to get to the northern side, you have to traverse the Beneath The Eastern Vault area, where you should also grab the Golden Chests available.

Where To Find All Fortress Of The Eastern Vault Gold Chests in Tunic

I suggest dealing with the Fortress Of The Eastern Vault area after finishing your business in West Garden and grabbing all the available Golden Chests. As you can see on the following map, the entrance to the Fortress Of The Eastern Vault area is directly east of the Fox Shrine in front of the Sealed Temple in the Overworld.

There is a sign in front of the entrance that says Forest Fortress, like in the following screenshot.

The map below shows the locations of all eleven Fortress Of The Eastern Vault Golden Chests. Now, let’s see how to get them.

Golden Chests #1 & 2:Near the Water

You can find the first two Gold Chests right at the beginning of the area, on the right side, near the water.

Open the first Chest near the small entrance leading north to get a Lure, which is useful to distract your enemies on use. And to reach the second Golden Chest, you have to Teleport Dash to the other side of the water.

If you don’t have the Teleport Dash, you can come back later after getting it. The second Chest contains a Pressed Petal, which you can use to upgrade your potions at a Fox Shrine.

Golden Chest #3: Behind an Obelisk

Now, you can go through the small entrance near Chest #1, then go up the ramp, and to the right, you’ll find a Fox Shrine. Save your progress and do your upgrades at the Shrine, then go to the right to find the next Fortress Of The Eastern Vault Chest behind an obelisk.

Loot the Chest for Game Currency and activate the obelisk by holding A (on Xbox) near it.

Golden Chest #4: Left of an Obelisk

You can now go to the fourth marked location on the map above by following the line on the ground starting from the obelisk where you got Chest #3. Choose the left path where the line splits in two, and you’ll find another obelisk. Activate it to clear the way and open the fourth Chest containing Game Currency.

Golden Chests #5 & 6: Inside the Room in the Northwest Corner

To obtain the next two Chests, you have to get to the north side of the area by traversing Beneath The Eastern Vault, whose entrance is near Chest #4. After reaching the Fortress Of The Eastern Vault area’s north side, exit the room and go right. Then, enter the room from the northwest corner to find Chests #5 & 6.

Opening the Chests will get you an Ice Bomb and Leaves.

Golden Chest #7: Behind the Breakable Wall

Now go to the seventh marked location on the map above or at least to the wall in front of it, above the destroyed Fox Shrine. Throw dynamite at the wall to destroy it and go through the secret entrance.

Open the seventh Golden Chest inside to receive a Potion Shard.

Golden Chest #8: On a Narrow Path

After looting Chest #7, get back outside the secret room, take the stairs down and go through the east entrance. Now, head northeast to find the next Chest on a narrow path.

You’ll find Game Currency inside the Chest.

Golden Chest #9: At the End of the Path

Upon looting the previous Chest go back to the destroyed Fox Shrine and take up the stairs on the right. Go to the right through the entrance and follow the linear path leading outside. Proceed until you reach a crossroads where you have to turn left. You’ll find the ninth Gold Chest at the end of the path, with water on the left side. The Chest contains Blue Fruit.

Golden Chest #10: On the Statue’s Right

From Chest #9, get back to the crossroad and go left. Interact with the lever to lower the bridge and reveal a ladder you can use to go down. Don’t forget to activate all the obelisks you find along the way.

Once down, make your way east of the fire in the courtyard to the location marked with 10 on the map above. You’ll find a couple of enemies along the way and a fox statue at the eastern edge of the map. And on the statue’s right side is Chest #10.

You have Game Currency inside the Chest.

Golden Chest #11: On the Statue’s Left

You can find Gold Chest #11 near the previous one, on the statue’s left side.

All 11 Tunic Fortress Of The Eastern Vault Gold Chests

You can’t see the Chest because of the statue, but if you make your way left of the stairs, on the edge, you can reach it. You have to stop walking to make the A button appear (on Xbox), then press it so you can open the Chest and obtain an Ability Card. Equip the Card if you want to increase your movement speed a little.
