Tunic West Garden Golden Chest Locations

All Tunic West Garden Golden Chests can be looted only after getting the Teleport Dash because you can’t reach certain areas without it. However, you can obtain most West Garden Golden Chests right after finishing the Dark Tomb area. Opening the 13 Tunic West Garden Gold Chests will get you the following loot:

• Ability Card
• Effigy
• Flower
• Game Currency
• Blue Fruit
• Hot Pepper
• Explosive Bomb
• Leaves
• Fang

Where To Find All West Garden Golden Chests in Tunic

To enter the West Garden, you have to go west of Overworld. If you haven’t unlocked the West Garden yet, you first have to finish the Dark Tomb, as mentioned before. If it’s not your first time in the Garden, you can get inside it in two ways. I suggest you take the path with the West Garden sign on it because the first Golden Chest we’ll cover is quite close.

I won’t even bother you with the second path because it’s unnecessary for this guide. Before we start, though, check the following West Garden Golden Chest locations map.

Golden Chest #1: Behind the Wall on the Right

Upon entering the West Garden, you’ll soon reach a wooden bridge, and after you cross it, you’ll find some stairs leading north. Don’t go past the stairs; instead, approach the northern edge and Teleport Dash onto the other side to find the first Golden Chest on the right, behind the wall, as shown in the following image.

If you don’t have the Teleport Dash, you can return later. Same case for the future Chests that require the Teleport Dash. The first Golden Chest contains an Ability Card that you should equip if you want extra defense when you’re low on health.

Golden Chest #2: Behind the Broken Statue

Proceed west after getting the first Chest until you reach a Fox Shrine, where you should save the game. From the Shrine, go west again, where the path narrows, and Teleport Dash to the second Golden Chest behind the broken statue, like in the following screenshot.

You get an Effigy from the Chest, which gives you Game Currency when used, as you probably learned by now.

Golden Chest #3: On a Patch of Land

Go southwest on the path from the previous Chest until you enter the water by walking on a fallen pillar. Follow the path in the water until you reach a crossroad. Head straight, and where the trail gets interrupted, Teleport Dash to the other side to find the next Tunic Chest on a patch of land.

Inside the Chest, you’ll find a Flower that you can use to upgrade your health bar at a Fox Shrine.

Golden Chest #4: Up the Stairs

Teleport Dash back to the crossroad in the water after opening the previous Chest. Now, go east and up the stairs to find the fourth Golden Chest. This Chest will get you Game Currency.

Golden Chest #5: Up a Small Ladder

Upon looting Chest #4, use the wooden boards and make your way to the next location marked on the map above. If you don’t know what to do when you reach the area with a bridge above you, just go to the left under it, pass on some wooden boards, and up a small ladder to find the fifth West Garden Chest.

Open the Chest to get a Blue Fruit that you can consume to restore some energy (the blue bar).

Golden Chest #6: On the Other Side of the Wooden Boards

Get back down the small ladder after opening Chest #5, and as you can see, there is a dark opening to the east. Go through the opening, and after some distance, you’ll find the sixth Chest on the other side of a wooden board mini bridge.

Looting the Chest will get you another Effigy.

Golden Chest #7: East Through the Water

Now, get back to the area with the bridge above you, but take the southern path under it this time. When you hit the wall, go west until you can see two wooden boards leading on a wall.

You’ll have some enemies along the way, so deal with them, then go up the wooden boards and follow the linear path until you reach three enemies that look like crocodiles. After you defeat them, take a few steps east and go into the water, as shown in the following screenshot.

Going east through the water, you’ll reach the next Chest that contains Hot Pepper.

You get a temporary buff to your attack if you consume the Pepper.

Golden Chest #8: In Front of a Ramp

Upon collecting the Hot Pepper from the previous Chest, go back through the water to where you fought the crocodile-like creatures. From here, you can consult the map above and make the short trip to the eight-marked location. You’ll find Golden Chest #8 in front of a ramp.

The Chest rewards you with Game Currency.

Golden Chest #9: Near the Red Enemy With a Sword

From the previous Chest, go up the ramp and make your way to the next location marked on the map above. As you get near, you can see a red enemy with a sword, and near him is the next West Garden Chest.

Handle the Chest carefully because you have an Explosive Bomb inside that you should use on grouped enemies.

Golden Chest #10: At the Base of Some Stairs Near a Cave

On to the tenth location marked on the map above, which is a simple journey southeast from Chest #9. The tenth Chest is waiting for you at the base of some stairs near a cave. You have more Game Currency inside the Chest.

Golden Chest #11: Behind the Bushes

Go to West Garden Golden Chest #11 with the help of the map I provided above. As you can see, it was a simple trip, and to open the Chest, you first have to cut the bushes in front of it with your Sword.

With the Leaves inside the Chest, you can upgrade your Stamina at any Fox Shrine.

Golden Chest #12: Up the Ladder

Now go to the location marked on the map above, which is a simple run from the previous Chest. Once here, you’ll have to climb a ladder to reach Golden Chest #12.

Loot the Chest to get a Fang you can use to upgrade your attack at a Fox Shrine.

Golden Chest #13: On the Road Toward the Overworld

If you use the map again, you’ll notice that the way to Golden Chest #13 is pretty straightforward. But if this is the first time you’re exploring the West Garden, you have a big problem or a big boss that stands between you and the Chest.

I’m sure you’ll eventually defeat the Garden Knight boss, then go on the road toward the Overworld to the east and get the last Gold Chest containing Game Currency.
