As you progress through the game, you will encounter various puzzles, one of which involves locating Cult Stashes scattered across different areas. The first Cult Stash puzzle can be found near the Murder Site in Cauldron Lake during Return 1: Invitation.

Where To Find the Murder Site Cult Stash in Cauldron Lake

The Cult Stash is located south of the Murder Site, adjacent to a camping table and directly across from the cultist trailer. For the exact location, please refer to the map below.

How To Solve the Murder Site Cult Stash Puzzle in Alan Wake 2

When you interact with the lockbox, you will find a note on top of it with cryptic instructions. The note is designed to help you unlock the stash. To solve the puzzle, you must investigate the trailer to find the corresponding symbols for the lock. Follow the steps below for the solution.

1. Wash hands. Head to the trailer’s bathroom and check the shower area beside the sink for the first symbol.
2. Take chicken out of Fridge. Go to the kitchen and look at the side of the fridge to find the second symbol.
3. Take a nap. Make your way to the bedroom and locate the final clue. The last symbol is above the bed.
4. Return to the box and input the symbols in the order mentioned here to unlock it.

Inside, you’ll find weapon ammo and medical supplies that will come in handy later in the game. It’s a smart move to start collecting them early, especially if you’re playing on Normal or Hard difficulty where resources are scarce. Just hover over the items and click to pick them up.
