The Stand Of The Sentinels Survey Drone is another Horizon Forbidden West activity and collectible you can complete in the area where you’ll look for Demeter. Unlike other Survey Drones collectibles we have already covered, the Stand Of The Sentinels Drone is a bit more complicated, mainly because it flies through the forest at a high altitude.
Where To Find the Stand Of The Sentinels Survey Drone
Let’s start with the Drone’s location and as you can see on my map below, it is southeast of Tide’s Reach. To spot it faster, make sure you override The Stand Of The Sentinels Tallneck.
Once you find it, take another look at my map because you can also see the starting point or the location where you’ll have to start your ascension.
How To Get the Stand Of The Sentinels Drone
At the location I have marked for you, there’s a tree log (pictured below) that you can use as a ramp. This log is quite essential, so try not to miss it.
Once you find the log pictured above, move to the upper end, then jump on the platform to the right (also marked). Now, turn left, and you’ll spot an upper platform with a Grappling Point.
Sprint, jump, and double-tap X to get to it. From your current location, turn left once more, and then, in the distance, you’ll see a lower platform.
Sprint, jump and glide to get to it, aiming for the ledge marked by the central arrow in my screenshot above. Also, drop the yellow ladder when you get on the said platform. Now, use the yellow climbing point on the large tree trunk to ascend, then head left.
When you reach the upper platform, cross the yellow ropes, and you’ll get to the platform marked by the left arrow in the same screenshot above. From here, you’ll want to climb another ledge, then head right around the next tree. On the other side, you’ll see a tree branch that looks like the one in my image.
Your next objective is to walk towards the end of the branch and then jump on the platform near the next tree. Now, head right, drop the ladder so you can use it if you fall to the ground, then use the next climbing point to get to the platform on the left. Now, wait for the Drone to arrive.
Again, the Drone follows a fixed path, and it will stop only when close to the platform where you stand. To retrieve it, you’ll obviously have to jump; however, press the jump button at the very last moment and while sprinting.
Once you grab the Drone, wait for Aloy to pull it down, and don’t press any buttons. Now, loot it to get the Survey Drone Module 0398.
How To Connect Drone Module 0398
The Horizon Forbidden West Drone Module 0398 must be connected to the panel in GAIA’s room at The Base (pictured).
Each Drone Module unlocks a scenery for GAIA’s Room, so the rewards you get are aesthetical only. If you connect Module 0398, GAIA’s room will look like a forest. If you want to turn it into a snowy area, try finding the Graypeak Survey Drone. Because there are 10 Drone Modules, you’ll get ten sceneries you can use to change what GAIA’s Room looks like whenever you visit her.
