Palworld Ancient Technology Points Guide

As your Base grows in Palworld, you’ll get access to new buildings and items to craft. While many items and structures require Technology Points, the important ones are unlocked using Ancient Technology Points. The Palworld Ancient Technology Points are earned by defeating the most powerful enemies in the game.

Where To Find Ancient Technology Points in Palworld

If you check your Technology Tab in Palworld, you’ll notice it is divided into two sections. The first one includes regular Technology, which is unlocked by spending Technology Points. As you probably know, these points are earned by leveling up your character.

The second section of the Technology Tab includes Ancient Technology. It is on the right side and is colored purple. The items in this Technology Tree require Ancient Technology Points, as pictured below.

Now, if you wonder how to get more ancient Palworld Technology Points, there are three methods to do this:

• Defeat Bosses in Syndicate Towers
• Defeat Alpha Pals
• Defeat Dungeon Bosses

Let’s go over these methods one by one.

Method #1: Defeat Syndicate Tower Bosses

The first method refers to the Bosses you’ll find in Syndicate Towers, such as Rayne Syndicate’s Tower Boss, which you’ll have to deal with to complete the Tutorial. This Boss is named Zoe & Grizzbolt, and by defeating him, you’ll get 5 Technology Points.

The same rule applies to other bosses hiding inside the Palworld Syndicate Towers. As you can see, these towers are very tall and hard to miss, but you should expect some powerful opponents. Furthermore, these challenges are timed, meaning you must defeat the bosses within the allotted time; otherwise, they will restart.

Method #2: Defeat Alpha Pals

By defeating Alpha Pals in Palworld, you’ll get 1 Ancient Technology Point. Alpha Pals are bigger and more dangerous than regular Pals. They don’t have fixed spawning locations, but they spawn in specific areas (see table below).

When encountering an Alpha Pal, you should get ready to fight an excellent opponent capable of spawning minions or regular Pals. You’ll know you are near an Alpha Pal due to its size. Last but not least, after you discover an Alpha Pal, his location remains marked on your map, as you can see.

Method #3: Complete Dungeons

Finally, you can get more Technology Points by completing Dungeons and defeating the random Bosses inside. When looking for a Palworld Dungeon, you are looking for a cave like the one below.

As you can expect, Dungeons are pretty large, but they are also very entertaining, and inside, you’ll find not only crafting materials but also some unique Pals. Each Dungeon includes one Boss you’ll need to defeat, so take your time exploring them. At the end of the Dungeon, you’ll also find Treasure Chests.

Now that you know how to get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld, here are several aspects you should be aware of:

• You can’t farm Ancient Technology Points.
• All Bosses drop Points only when you defeat them the first time.
• Even though they respawn, you won’t get another Point for defeating the same Boss.

Last but not least, when spending the points, you should consider prioritizing Ancient Structures (Egg Incubator, Pal Distillation Pod) over Ancient Items (Grappling Gun, Small Feed Bag) to increase the efficiency of your Base.
