If you wonder how to move buildings in Palworld, you’ll be surprised to discover that you can’t. While this feature can save you a lot of time, it doesn’t exist, meaning that when you start building your first base, you’ll want to plan ahead.

Granted, you can destroy the Palworld buildings, and in this guide, we’ll tell you how to do this, but moving objects or other structures is impossible. Since this option is unavailable, make sure that the moment you start crafting your first Primitive Workbench and Pal Spheres, you already know what your base will look like.

Now, since you can’t move anything you build and place in Palworld, it means that if you want to move the Workbench, for example, inside your first building, you’ll have to destroy it.

How To Destroy Buildings and Objects in Palworld

When it comes to destroying a Palworld building or object, things are straightforward, and the good news is that all the materials you initially used will be returned to you. This feature is very useful because you won’t lose any gathered materials. Here is what you need to do on both Xbox and PC:

  • Press B (PC) or D-pad Up (Xbox) to activate the build wheel.
  • Next, press C (PC) or click the Right Thumbstick (Xbox) to enter the Disassembly Mode.
  • Now, get close to the objects or structure you want to destroy and press the Disassembe button (X on Xbox).

While regular buildings and structures are easy to destroy and move to more suitable locations, you should be careful if you decide to move the Palbox by disassembling it. That’s because the Palbox is the foundation of your base. As such, if you try to destroy the Palbox, you’ll get a fair warning:

  • Structures not placeable outside of the base will be disassembled.
  • Some structures will not be disassembled and will remain.
  • All Pals at the base will be stored in your Palbox
  • You won’t lose any of your Pals.
  • Once disassembled, the Palbox can’t be restored.

As you can see, destroying the Palbox is the last thing you’ll want to do, so make sure you are aware of what happens next. If you try to move it by disassembling it, you should also know that the Palbox can’t be placed inside structures.

Planing ahead in Palworld is mandatory, so don’t rush and make sure you pick a suitable place for your Base, especially if you want to automate the Pals feeding process or you want to capture rare Pals.
