Unlike the Primitive Workbench, the Pal Gear Workbench allows you to craft items for your Palworld Pals. These items are very useful because they give your Pals all sorts of new abilities. The good news is that you can craft a Pal Gear Workbench with not too many resources. This guide provides all the details you need to know about the Pal Item Workbench.

How to Build a Pal Gear Workbench in Palworld

Step 1: Unlock the Pal Gear Workbench

First, reach level 6 so you can unlock the Pal Gear Workbench from the Technology tab in your Menu. You’ll also need Technology Points, which can be obtained by leveling up. Luckily, you gain XP and level up by doing almost any activity in Palworld.

Step 2: Gather the Materials

To build a Pal Gear Workbench, you need the following materials:

  • 10 Paldium Fragment
  • 30 Wood
  • 2 Cloth

For Wood, you must cut down trees using an Axe. If you don’t know how to get Paldium Fragments, they can be obtained mainly by mining Paldium deposits with a Pickaxe. Finally, you can craft Cloth from Fiber. Just like Wood, you obtain Fiber from trees.

Step 3: Build a Pal Gear Workbench

After gathering all the materials, you must build the Pal Gear Workbench. To do so, press Up on the Dpad of your controller, select the Pal Gear Workbench in the Production tab, press A, find a place in your base for the structure (make sure it turns blue), and press X. Finally, press and hold X to finish building.

How to Use the Pal Gear Workbench

Using your newly built Pal Workbench can be tricky because you must first unlock the gear you can craft. This can be done from the Technology tab of your Menu using Technology Points.

However, while browsing through the Technology tab, you’ll be able to spot a bunch of question marks. Some of the question marks represent items you can craft at the Pal Gear Workbench, but to uncover them, you must first catch certain Pals.

For example, if you want to craft an Eikthyrdeer’s Saddle, you must follow the next steps:

  • Catch at least one Eikthyrdeer (or buy it from a Pal Merchant).
  • Unlock Eikthyrdeer’s Saddle from the Technology tab.
  • Head to the Pal Gear Workbench and interact with it.
  • Select the item.
  • Press A twice.
  • Finally, press and hold X to finish crafting.

Of course, you must have the necessary materials. The Saddle allows you to mount your Eikthyrdeer Pal. To craft other items at the Pal Gear Workbench, repeat the process but pick different Pals with their corresponding gear.
