In Palworld, you’ll want to get the most out of your Pals and put them to work. However, everybody deserves a good break occasionally, so you must build a Hot Spring at your base as fast as possible. Hot Springs are a sort of jacuzzis where your Pals will go to recover their SAN (sanity) stat.
When Pals work too much, their SAN stat drops, and they can get the Depressed status. To cure your Pals from Depression, you’ll need to build a Medicine Workbench. But if the Hot Springs prevent this, why not invest in them?
How To Build a Hot Spring in Palworld
Step 1: Unlock the Hot Spring
Of course, as with all the buildings in the video game, you must first unlock the blueprint for the Pal Hot Springs and only then start building them. To achieve this, focus on reaching level 9 and hold on to two Technology Points. Then, open your Menu, go to the Technology tab, and unlock the Pal jacuzzi.

Step 2: Gather the Materials
The next step is to gather the materials needed to build a Hot Spring:
- 30 Wood
- 15 Stone
- 10 Paldium Fragment
- 10 Pal Fluids
The Wood and Stone are pretty easy to obtain, with the best method being to acquire the materials from a Logging Camp and a Stone Mining Pit.

The Palworld Paldium Fragments are a little trickier to gather, but if you have some extra Stone, you can exchange it with the needed materials at a Crusher station. Last but not least, the Pal Fluids are dropped from certain Pals such as Fuack, Pengullet, Teafant, Celaray, and Gobfin. If you need more details, check our Pal Fluid locations guide.
Step 3: Build the Hot Spring
With the necessary resources ready, you can press Up on your Dpad (Xbox), select the Hot Spring under the Infrastructure tab, and press A. Find a place for the Pal jacuzzi in your base (the structure turns blue when you find a good spot), and press X. Finally, approach the Hot Bath and hold X to finish building it.

Now, all the Pals in need of relaxation will automatically come to take a bath, getting their SAN stat up. You don’t need to assign them, so don’t worry about this aspect.
