After a hard day of exploring the beautiful but dangerous world of Palworld, you might want to rest for a while and pass the time. To do so, you’ll need a Shoddy Bed. No worries, though, because the piece of furniture can be built, assuming you have enough Wood, Fiber, and Wool. However, note that this Bed can only be placed in a house, which can be tricky to build.

How to Craft Strawhoddy Beds in Palworld

Step 1: Build a House

To build a house, you first need to reach at least level 2 so you can go to the Technology tab of your Menu and unlock the Wooden Structure Set. If you are low on Wood, you should start with a small house. The required Wood can be obtained by cutting down trees with a Stone Axe, preferably.

To continue, press Up on your Dpad, select the Foundations tab, and place the Wooden Foundation on the ground. Obviously, the bigger the Foundation, the bigger the house.

Then, surround the Foundation with Wooden Walls. Don’t forget that one of the walls must have a Wooden Door, and you can also put a Wooden Wall and Window into the mix. At the end, place the Wooden Roof. Each item in the Foundation tab needs two units of Wood to be crafted.

Step 2: Build a Shoddy Bed

Now it’s time to build the actual Palworld Shoddy Bed, for which you’ll need to gather:

  • 20 Wood
  • 5 Fiber
  • 1 Wool

You’ll get Wood and Fiber simultaneously by cutting down Trees, and for the Wool, you’ll need to defeat or catch a Lamball Pal. Don’t forget to first unlock the Shoddy Bed from the Technology tab as you did with the Wooden Structure Set. But note that you must be at least level 3 to do so.

Once you have the resources, make your way into your new house and follow these steps:

  • Press Up on your Dpad.
  • Go to the Infrastructure tab.
  • Select the Shoddy Bed and press A.
  • Place the Bed somewhere in your house while making sure the furniture item turns blue.
  • Approach the Bed and hold X to finally build it.

An important aspect you should be aware of is that Palworld is missing the “move objects” feature, meaning you can’t move a bed after building it. So plan ahead; otherwise, you must destroy it and place it elsewhere.

How To Use the Palworld Shoddy Bed

To use your new Shoddy Bed, approach it and press X. Note that time passes much faster while sleeping.

Now, you can easily skip the night if you want. Or take a nap, and you’ll find new Pals and resources when you wake up.
