If you are tired of mining rock deposits for Stones and feel like your time in Palworld could be better spent on other activities, then you must build a Stone Pit. The building automates the mining for Stones process using Pals, which allows you to be somewhere else, doing something more important. Luckily, the Stone Pit can be built in the early game when you reach level 7.

How To Build a Stone Pit in Palworld

Step 1: Unlock the Stone Pit

Assuming you are at least level 7 and have two Technology Points to spare, then you can unlock the Stone Pit. Simply go to the Technology tab in your Menu and unlock the structure’s blueprint.

If you are not level 7 or don’t have the Technology Points, you should engage in activities to level up. Note that when you reach a new level, you get Technology Points. One of the fastest activities to level up is to catch or kill Pals.

Step 2: Gather the Materials

Next, you must gather the materials needed to build the Stone Mining Pit:

  • 50 Stone
  • 20 Wood
  • 10 Paldium Fragments

Because you don’t have a Stone Pit for now, you must get the 50 Stone by mining rock deposits using a Pickaxe. For Wood, you can use an Axe to cut trees, or even better, get it from your Palworld Logging Site.

You also need to get Paldium Fragments, for which you must mine Paldium deposits or head to your Crusher building and exchange any extra Stone for the needed materials. Check our Crusher Building Guide if you don’t have one of these structures yet.

Step 3: Build the Stone Pit

Finally, you can build the Stone Mine, so press Up on your controller’s Dpad, select the Stone Pit in the Production tab, and press A. Find a good spot for the Mine in your base (make sure the structure turns blue), and press X. To complete the Stone Pit, approach it, and hold X.

How To Use a Stone Pit

You now need workers for the Pit, and the candidates are Pals with the Mining ability. Cattiva is very good, and you can catch this type of Pals from the start of your Palworld journey.

All you have to do now is assign Cattiva Pals to work at your base, and they will go mine the Stone Pit by themselves.
