Food is essential in Palworld because you and your Pals need it to survive. A great source of food is the Berry Plantation, so you should learn how to build and use it. Building the structure is also necessary for one of the Base Missions. In the guide below, I’ll provide all the details you need to build as many Berry Plantations as you want and keep your Pals fed.
How to Build Berry Plantations in Palworld
Step 1: Unlock the Berry Plantation Structure
To unlock the structure, you must first reach level 5. Then, you have to access the Technology tab in your Menu and unlock the Berry Plantation from there. For this, you need technology points, received when you level up.
Step 2: Gather the Materials
As you can see, to build the structure you need:
- 3 Berry Seeds
- 20 Wood
- 20 Stone
The Seeds can be easily obtained from the Berry Bushes scattered all over Palworld. Wood can be found on the ground or by cutting down trees with your Stone Axe. As for the Stone, it can also be found on the ground or mined from the rock deposits using a Stone Pickaxe.
Step 3: Build the Palworld Berry Plantation
To finally build the Plantation, follow the instructions below:
- Press Up on the Dpad of your Xbox controller.
- Select the Food tab.
- Select the Berry Plantation.
- Find a place for the structure in your base.
How to Use the Berry Plantation
Once you’ve found a spot for the Plantation, you can work on it yourself by planting seeds, watering them, waiting for the Berries to grow, and finally harvesting them. The problem is that you can’t do this all day by yourself. Luckily, your Pals can help out.
You’ll need specific types of Pals:
- For planting, you need Pals that have the Planting ability, like Gumos, Flopie, and Lifmunk.
- For watering, you need Pals that have the Watering ability, like Pengullet, Fuack, and Penking.
- For gathering, you need Pals that have the Gathering ability, like Cattiva, Chikipi, and Lifmunk.
- Of course, you also need Pals that have the Transporting ability, like Cattiva, Lamball, and Fuack.
If you need help catching Pals, check our guide. Now that you have your first Berry Plantation up and running, all you have to do is think about what you’re going to do with all those Berries.
