Outriders Derelict Mine Loot Chest Locations Guide

Derelict Mine is a side-quest Wreckage Zone area you will have to explore while playing A Heart Of Gold, and it includes two Outriders Loot Chests you should find for additional resources and gear. The Outriders Wreckage Zone Derelict Mine is a large area, and unlike the Secluded Homestead, here you’ll have to deal with a lot of enemies and several mini-bosses.

The good thing, however, is that because of the tunnels, you can keep the mobs away from you. But first, let’s see how to get to this mine.

To enter the Derelict Mine the first time, you have to track A Heart Of Gold side quest. You can start it by talking to Greybeard in Trench Town. He is an old man who seeks your help. When you do that, he’ll ask you to locate the smugglers in the abandoned mines.

So, head back to the Wreckage Zone camp and follow the tunnel towards the Polluted Outpost. Once inside the tunnel, take a right turn and go through the red gate to reach Clearwater Springs. Cross this area, then unlock the Crevice Explorer Flag.

After you unlock the Crevice Flag, head right and keep following the main tunnel until you reach a door on your left side. Behind it is the Derelict Mine. Although this area is quite big, there is actually a single chest inside; however, the first one you’ll want to find is in the Crevice.

Since the Crevice is the tunnel you’ll use to get to the mine, I have included both chests in the same guide so you can claim the goodies in a single run.

Before entering the Derelict Mine or A Heart Of Gold Area, look to your right while facing the door to spot the first loot chest. You can see it in my screenshot, along with the said door.

After you enter the actual mine, you’ll have to face a lot of smugglers, so get ready because they will put up a really good fight. Push through the first tunnel, and you’ll eventually reach a large cave. Obviously, first, you’ll want to clear it, then you will have to find the leader of the smugglers, who is in the next large cave. Before heading toward the leader, look around to spot the tunnel in my image.

You should see a lot of red stone flowers around it. Get this one, then continue with your objective.
