Scavenged Factory & Control Tower are two Outriders Wreckage Zone areas you will have to explore while playing the game’s main story, and they include two Loot Chests you can find for more Gear, Scraps, and Crafting Materials. The Outriders Wreckage Zone Scavenged Factory and Control Tower are located west and northwest of the Factory Entrance Explorer Flag. These specific areas are somehow connected, and you’ll have to cover both of them in a single run.
To enter the Scavenged Factory and Control Tower, you have to track the Mentor main quest. First, you’ll have to cross the Polluted Outpost (don’t miss the chests there); then, after you activate the Factory Entrance Explorer Flag, all you have to do is follow the path up the mountain. This region is quite linear, so you can’t get lost.
The first section you’ll need to clear is the Scavenged Factory, and when you reach the top of the hill, you’ll enter the Control Tower. As said, these two areas or sections, if you want, are connected, and because of this, you’ll have to find both chests in a single run.
Loot Chest #1
The first chest is located in the factory. Make sure you deal with all enemies in the lower section of the ruins, then return to the starting point. Now, stick to the left side and keep moving up the hill. Once you climb the first set of stairs, on your left side is a room like the one in my image. The chest is on the right side.
Loot Chest #2
The second Loot Chest is almost impossible to miss. If you follow the quest’s objectives, when you reach the Control Tower, you have to open the gate to the next area by interacting with a switch. As you can see in my screenshot, the Loot Chest is next to the said switch, just around the corner.
