Infested Oreyard is an Outriders side-quest area you will have to explore while playing the Hunter – Oreyard Queen mission, and it features one Loot Chest you may want to get for additional resources and gear. The Outriders Wreckage Zone Infested Oreyard is a former mining station that has been overrun by Perforo.
This specific area features a boss you’ll need to defeat as part of the Hunter questline. Additionally, in the Oreyard, you can find a hidden chest we will cover in this guide. However, first, let’s get you inside.
Just like the Bloodsoaked Fort, to enter the Infested Oreyard, you have to track the Oreyard Queen Hunter Mission. This area is not associated with the game’s main quests. Thus, the only way to get in is when you hunt down the said queen.
Keep in mind, though, that after you kill the Oreyard Queen and turn in the quest, you will no longer be able to enter the Infested Oreyard, so make sure you get the chest before leaving. Getting inside the Infested Oreyard is very easy since all you have to do is fast-travel to the Crevice Explorer Flag and then interact with the carcass you see in my screenshot below.
This carcass triggers the Outriders Hunter – Oreyard Queen quest. Make sure you track the said quest, then head through the tunnel ahead (towards Derelict Mine), but pay close attention to the left side for a broken bridge. Jump over the gap, and that’s it. You are inside the Infested Oreyard.
When you enter the Oreyard, you’ll notice that you are inside a tunnel, and the moment you exit, you’ll be attacked by waves of Perforo. A good strategy here is to try to maintain your current spot (the tunnel) because this way, you can restock your ammo, and the enemies can’t flank you. However, when the boss spawns, you’ll want to move because it hits hard.
Loot Chest Location
After you deal with the Oreyard Queen, don’t leave the area just yet. Instead, return to your starting location and hug the right-side mountain wall. Several steps away, you’ll see some wooden crates (pictured below) between two tunnels. The chest is in front of them, as you can see.
Get this one, then exit the Infested Oreyard and return to Noah in Trench Town to claim your rewards for dealing with the Oreyard Queen.
