Now that you know how to delete an Outrider, it’s time to discuss how to use the free slot you have. In order to get a new character in the video game developed by People Can Fly, you must use the Outriders Create Character option. This option is similar to the one that allows you to delete your character, meaning that it can be found on your Character Management screen.
Obviously, you’ll want to use it if you decide to create a new character with a different class or if you want to start a new journey without losing your progress with other characters. Before we talk about how to create a new character in Outriders, it’s worth knowing that the third-person shooter role-playing video game published by Square Enix comes with six character slots.
This means that you can’t have more than 6 Outriders characters available at the same time on a single account; so if you reach this number, then you’ll be forced to delete one of your characters if you want to create a new one.
Outriders Create New Character Option
The Outriders Create Character option can be accessed via the game’s lobby, which looks like the one in my screenshot.
If you pay attention to the lower right corner, you can see that by pressing O on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, you can change your character in Outriders. This option brings forward the Character Management screen, so press it to see all your available characters, along with the option to create a new one. If you don’t have an active character, or you deleted all of them, your screen looks like this.
From here, all you have to do is scroll over Create Character and press X on your PS4/PS5 controller. This will bring up the Character Customization screen, and you’re ready to start a new journey.
Last but not least, keep in mind that if you already have other active characters and you found some of the game’s collectibles, they will count as collected, and you won’t be able to find them anymore. And that’s it, Outrider! Now you know how to create a new character, how about you learn how to switch between your skills next?
