Outriders Detour Quest Bug Fix: How To Clear The Road And Escort Marshal Bailey

Outriders is far from being a bug-free video game, but the Detour quest in Deadrock Pass features a glitch that can ruin your experience for good; meaning that you won’t be able to progress through the story unless you know how to fix it; simply because you won’t be able to clear the road and escort Marshal Bailey and her captive to Trench Town.

Obviously, without completing the Outriders Detour quest, you can’t move forward with your adventure on Enoch; which means that most likely you’ll spend hours looking for a bug fix.

Since the video game developed by People Can Fly is quite new, a bug fix for the Outriders Detour quest glitch may take some time, so until then the only thing you can do is to revisit the previous regions.

Except that an Outriders Detrour Bug Fix already exists and even though it may not work for everyone, if you are stuck with the Clear the Road objective, it’s worth trying; since there is nothing else you can do until the devs patch it.

And obviously, below I’ll tell you how to fix the Detour quest in Outriders, just in case you get stuck like I did.

But let’s start from the beginning.

What Is The Outriders Detour Quest Bug (Clear The Road Glitch)

The Outriders Detour bug is actually a glitch that occurs when you play the first quest in Deadrock Pass.

The said quest (Detour) starts in your Deadrock Pass Camp and continues the moment you enter Mountain Road on your way to the Lumber Station.

As you’ll notice you’ll be in a lumber mill facility and your objective is to escort Marshal Bailey and her captive to Trench Town.

To do so, however, you’ll have to clear the way on Mountain Road; hence a lot of people call this the Outriders Clear The Road Bug.

Regardless of its name though, as you fight your way towards the Mountain Tunnel Explorer Flag, you’ll eventually notice that the said Flag is in a cave. Just as you can see below.

Outriders Clear The Road Bug

You shall not pass!

The bug or the glitch now steps in your way and normally, you should be able to remove the rocks in my image above using your Outrider’s impressive power.

Except that you can’t because as you can see they are not highlighted.

What Is Causing The Outriders Clear The Road Bug

This game bug is caused by an enemy that fails to spawn.

Basically, if you encounter this, most likely you did not encounter him, because he failed to spawn. Or because he’s busy doing something else.

The enemy in question is the Outlaw Leader you see in the next screenshot.

Outriders Detour Quest Bug Fix

Squash him like a bug!

The only way to clear the obstacle at the cave’s entrance is to kill this mini-boss.

But since he is not spawning, it means that there is no one to kill; hence you can’t Clear the Road for the Detour quest. And this leads to a premature end to your journey on Enoch.

Good, so now that we know what or who is causing this, let’s see how to fix it. Or how to make this mini-boss spawn.

Outriders Clear The Road Bug Fix

Normally, the first thing you’ll want to do is to travel back to the Deadrock Pass Camp and try replaying the whole area; however, even though this is a valid option, it may not work.

You can also try to re-install the game, turn off the console, and other solutions; but that Outlaw Leader may still remain hidden.

Because you actually have to reset the quest.

The fix that actually worked in my case is a bit faster especially because the Outriders Detour Clear The Road bug occurs at the very beginning of this region.

As such, here is what you need to do:

  • Press Options to bring up the game’s menu
  • Choose Return To Lobby
  • Now, go to Select Story Point
  • Finally, pick the Explore The Area and Depart When Ready Story Point

You can see this option below.

When the game reloads, you’ll be brought back to the Deadrock Pass Camp, and all you have to do is to talk to Jakub and tell him you are ready to go.

Again, you’ll have to clear the way in the Mountain Road, but the Outlaw Leader should be there.

If not, you’ll have to repeat the same steps mentioned above in order to make him spawn.

And that’s it, Outrider. Now you know how to fix the Outriders Detour Clear The Road glitch, so good luck out there, and don’t forget to claim the three Loot Chests in the next area named Lumber Station, or learn how to fix the Lumber Mill door bug for A Free Market side-quest.

Outriders Main Quarry: All Loot Chests Locations Guide

Outriders Main Quarry is a main-quest Quarry area you will have to explore while playing the Expedition main mission and it includes three Loot Chests that you should find and claim.

The Outriders Main Quarry is one of the largest areas in the Quarry region and also the last one you’ll have to cover while following the game’s story.

Once you deal with the boss in the Main Quarry, you’ll be able to move to the next region; however, do not leave the Quarry without fully exploring all areas, especially Mining Town.

How To Get To Main Quarry In Outriders

To enter the Main Quarry, all you have to do is to track the Expedition quest.

The quest’s objective marker will lead you across the river near your main camp.

Make sure you activate the Riverbed Explorer Flag and also find Jabari Achebe nearby.

This NPC allows you to start the Dying Wish side-quest thus granting you access to the Mine & Refinery area where two Loot Chests can be found.

After you cross the river, head up the hill and you’ll see a gate.

The section behind the gate is known as the Main Quarry and your first objective is to collect more lithium for the filtration system.

Without going into details on how to defeat all enemies here, make sure you grab the following chests as you advance through this area’s sections.

Keep in mind that there are three of them.

Loot Chest #1 – Near The Excavator

The first Outriders Main Quarry Loot Chest; is close to the excavator where the first lithium is found.

Kill all enemies, then grab the lithium, and then move right around the vehicle to spot the chest on the hill in front of you.

You can see it in my screenshot behind some rocks.

Loot Chest #2 – Inside The Cave

The second Outriders Loot Chest in Main Quarry is also the most accessible because is found in the same cave as the lithium; but in the second section.

It is basically impossible to miss.

Loot Chest #3 – Behind The Last Gate

Finally, we have the third one which is extremely easy to miss.

To get it first you’ll need to defeat all enemies in the next section, including the Behemoth and the Screecher.

Then get the final lithium for Zahedi.

Once you do that, go through the final gate, then turn left to spot it next to a pile of boxes or crates if you want.

And that’s it, friends. Now you know where to find the Outriders Main Quarry Loot Chests, in the video game developed by People Can Fly.

Outriders Mining Town: All Loot Chests Locations Guide

Outriders Mining Town is a side-quest Quarry area you will have to explore while playing the Wanted – Scalp King bounty mission and it includes two Loot Chests I will show you where to find in the guide below.

Similar to the Mine & Refinery area where we found the previous two chests, the Outriders Mining Town is a medium-sized area but the difference here is that once you deal with the Scalp King, you won’t be able to access it anymore.

As such, make sure you follow the guide below and claim both chests before exiting the region.

How To Get To Quarry Mining Town In Outriders

To enter the Mining Town, first, you have to start the Outriders Wanted Scalp King quest.

So, fast-travel to the Riverbed Explorer Flag or walk southeast from your Quarry Camp.

Now, locate the poster near Jabari Achebe, pictured below.

You’ll find it under a broken bridge.

Check the poster to start the wanted mission

Upon checking the poster, track the Wanted – Scalp King Hunter mission and follow the objective marker which takes you to the Mining Town on the hill nearby.

The area you’re about to enter is pretty straightforward with a lot of enemies to kill.

There are also several mini-bosses and obviously the bounty you’ll need to execute.

Without going into details on how to dispatch the enemies here, once you deal with them look for the following chests.

Loot Chest #1 – Inside A House

The first Outriders Mining Town Loot Chest; is in the first area, and it’s quite hard to find.

The moment you enter the region on your right side (as you look up the hill); you’ll see some stairs that go between two buildings.

Move that way but before going up the said stairs, take a right turn and check the house.

You’ll find the chest in my screenshot below.

Loot Chest #2 – On Top Of The Hill

The second Outriders Loot Chest is a bit easier but you’ll have to kill the Scalp King first.

Once you do that, you’ll find yourself in the final section of Mining Town.

Go up the hill, then turn right and you’ll see the chest in my image on a platform overseeing the town. It’s behind a house.

After you loot this one, don’t forget to return to Trench Town and claim your rewards from Ujio.

And that’s it, friends. Now you know where to find the Outriders Mining Town Loot Chests, in the video game developed by People Can Fly, so head to the Main Quarry for the next three.
