Or, simply put, the DL2 Houndfield Crocodile Flats Safe Code clue is next to Scott’s Necklace, and you have to retrieve it for the Out Of Your League quest. An interesting aspect worth mentioning here is that you can still find the Safe if you don’t opt to look for the necklace in question. So, here is how to open the Dying Light 2 Crocodile Flats Safe.

Where To Find Crocodile Flats Safe

The Safe in Crocodile Flats Dying Light 2 Safe is inside the apartment building at the location marked below.

This building can be accessed via a door you can lockpick while looking for Scott’s Necklace. As you can notice, this door is inside a passage under the building.

Once you open the door, you’ll find yourself inside a restaurant, but the Crocodile Flats Safe is on the top floor. To get it, cross the first room (restaurant), and behind the counter, look for a door (right side) to access the kitchen.

Inside the kitchen, make sure you spot the hole that leads to the ventilation system (below).

Head inside and keep following the tunnel to reach the elevator shaft. While on top of the elevator, in the upper corner, you’ll see another hole with a yellow tarp on it. Jump and go through the hole to reach the stairs.

Here, you’ll want to head right and enter apartment 10. Next, destroy the planks that block the hole on the right side of the bedroom, then look for the bathroom. Again, destroy the planks inside the bathroom, then crouch and head to the next room. After you picklock the metal door in the next room (also pictured), you’ll reach a hallway.

Here, you’ll want to force open the elevator door and climb through the hole in the ceiling. Now turn around, and you’ll be inside the Crocodile Flats apartment, where the Safe is found. Look for it in the living room by the chimney (pictured).

How To Unlock the Crocodile Flats Safe

Unlike all other Safe Boxes we have unlocked so far, Techland’s devs did an excellent job with the Dying Light 2 Crocodile Flats Safe Code because the clue or the puzzle you have to solve involves a picture. So, to open the safe, while facing it, turn right to see a door blocked by some planks.

Smash the planks in my screenshot; then, you’ll see a corpse on a chair in the next room. This corpse carries Scott’s Necklace, but there is more than that.

Next to the corpse (left side), you can see a picture. It shows a woman, a kid, and a birthday cake. The picture in question is dated 11/11/21.

So typically, you’ll think that the Safe Code is 11-11-21, but the Safe won’t unlock if you try it. That’s because the Safe Code is not the date on the picture but the kid’s date of birth. Since the candle on the cake shows that the kid was two years old, it’s easy to figure out that the kid was born on 11/11/19.

So, if you wonder what the Crocodile Flats Dying Light 2 Safe Code is, then it’s 11-11-19. Now head back to the Safe and enter the Code you found. Remember to use the left thumbstick to turn the wheel until you see the correct digit in the field at the bottom. After each digit, press Enter Code to move to the next field.
