Dying Light 2 Princess In The Tower is a search and rescue side-quest you can complete in Trinity District, provided you manage to find Timur inside a Dark Hollow. Princess In The Tower is very similar to the All In The Family side quest, but you’ll have to find Timur instead of Theodore.

Furthermore, the DL2 Princess In The Tower side-quest also features a choice that affects the rewards you’ll receive for finding Timur. So, in case you wonder where to find Timur in Techland’s Dying Light 2, and if you should lie or tell the truth about him, the guide below reveals everything you need to know.

DL2 Stay Human Princess In The Tower quest becomes available only after you finish Markers of Plague main quest. Once you do that, you’ll need to find Rose, an NPC, and a quest-giver. An angry one. Look for Rose at the location marked on my map below.

On my map, you can also see that Rose is several steps away from Willow Windmill, so consider activating it on your way to her. Upon arriving at the location marked above, look for a balcony, and you should be able to spot the angry Rose.

When you talk to her, she’ll tell you that her brother Lowen locked her in the house, and she’s waiting to be rescued. Since you are no prince charming, she won’t accept your help because she’s waiting for her lover, Timur. However, the problem is that Timur and Lowen went to clear a building, and he’s missing.

Your objective is to find Timur so he can rescue Rose, the not-so-happy princess. Once you finish talking to Rose, track the quest, then press and hold the down button on your DPad to fast forward the time.

Where To Find Timur

Timur is inside the Dark Hollow north of Alder Windmill. To find him, first, open your map and travel to the Dark Hollow marked below.

When you get close to the building, consider accessing it via the entrance on the roof (also pictured).

Now, head inside and descend the ladder. Smash the planks on the door in the next room; then, you’ll see a large hall with several infected. Jump to the hall below, then clear the area if you want, or simply sneak through the hole marked in the following screenshot. Notice the purple light in the corridor nearby.

Inside the next corridor, turn left to spot a door behind a pile of toxic rubble. Approach the door (screenshot below), and you’ll trigger a cutscene and a dialogue with Lowen.

Dying Light 2 Timur Location

You’ll find out that Timur is dead during the dialogue, and you’ll have two choices.

Best Dialogue Choice

Both of them revolve around Rose and how she should find out about Timur’s death.

  • Tell the truth about Timur
  • Lie about Timur

What you should know about these choices is that they don’t affect the main story, nor will they lock any side quest. What you choose only determines the rewards you’ll receive:

  • If you tell the truth about Timur, you’ll receive 1250 Combat XP, a Military Medkit, and 150 Old World Money
  • If you lie about Timur, you’ll get 1500 Combat XP and 300 Old World Money

So, pick the one you see fit depending on your needs, and then the Dying Light 2 The Princess In The Tower side quest ends.
