Dying Light 2 Houndfield Electrical Station Facility Activation Guide

Dying Light 2 Houndfield Electrical Station is a Facility you’ll have to activate in Houndfield District to establish a new Safe Zone and be able to assign the western Old Villedor district to one of the two factions.

The Houndfield Electrical Station Facility features a small puzzle you’ll need to figure out if you wish to restore the power. If you manage to finish the Houndfield Electrical Station puzzle, besides the perks offered by this facility, you’ll also receive 2500 Stamina XP.

Therefore, if you wonder how to activate the DL2 Houndfield Electrical Station Facility, below I’ll share the steps you have to follow to achieve this objective. Before moving forward, keep in mind that even though the game informs you that there is an Inhibitor here, you should not waste your time looking for it because it’s outside and it’s very well hidden.

Where To Find the Hound Field Electrical Station Facility

Houndfield Electrical Station Facility is on the southern side of Houndfield District, as you can see on my map below.

However, the puzzle you have to solve is very similar to the one you’ll encounter while playing the A Place To Call Home main quest, so this facility is best approached after the said quest to understand how it works. Once you are ready, head to the location on my map above, then you’ll have to find a way inside the Houndfield Electrical Station Facility.

The path here is relatively straightforward because there are a lot of structures outside, and they can be used to climb to the lower roof, where you’ll find a broken window. The window in question is behind the shack pictured below.

Upon getting inside, the real puzzle starts, and your goal is to connect the green power stations with the red ones using two power cables. What makes this puzzle a bit different than the rest are the locked doors and the fact that the lower levels are toxic. So, let’s see what you have to do.

Houndfield Electrical Station Puzzle Solution

Upon entering the facility through the window mentioned above, go around the balcony on the same floor and spot the hanging cage. Jump on it; then, while hanging, you’ll spot several small yellow ledges (pictured) you can grab to pull yourself to the upper level.

Now, above your head, you should see a zipline. Grab it, then cross to the other side of the station, then turn right. At the end of the corridor, on the right side, you’ll see the green power station 2.

First, unlock the yellow door nearby, then grab the cable on the station. From here, you’ll want to jump to the lowest floor. Don’t worry because you won’t die since several garbage bags are waiting for you. Now, turn around, and you’ll see the red power station.

Connect the cable quickly, then move to the upper floor. Now it’s time to find the first power station, which is also in the toxic area but on the second floor. Once you find it, turn around and jump to the lowest floor, where the garbage bags are. Next, you’ll want to go through the door on the right side of the blue pipes in my image.

These pipes are basically opposed to Power Station 1 but are on the ground floor. Head inside the said room, then use the ladder to go up. Head right when you reach the next level, then you’ll enter a new room.

Obviously, it’s filled with toxic barrels, so cross it as fast as you can; then, on the right side, you’ll see another ladder. Go up; then you should see the green Power Station 1 in front of you.

Once you get the cable, open the yellow door in front of you, but to get to the red station, make sure you don’t go around the balcony because the cable is too short. As you can see in my screenshot, you want to cross the central area in a straight line.

Once you connect the second cable, take the elevator from the ground floor to the control room and activate the Dying Light 2 Stay Human Houndfield Electrical Station Facility using the console.
