Dying Light 2 Memorial Square Monument is a location you’ll have to reach and investigate while playing a very short side-quest named The History Lesson. Dying Light 2 Stay Human Memorial Square Monument is in Houndfield District, although The History Lesson side-quest starts in Trinity District.
By playing The History Lesson side-quest, you’ll learn more about The March Massacre and commemorate the victims of this event. Last but not least, for finishing the DL2 History Lesson side-quest, you’ll earn a Survivor’s Trinket, which you can sell at merchants. So, let’s see how to complete the quest and how to light the candle at the Memorial Square Monument in Techland’s latest video game.
As you can see on the map below, to start the Dying Light 2 History Lesson quest, you’ll have to travel to the roof of the school on Trinity. However, you won’t find the quest-giver unless you activate the Larch Windmill in southern Trinity.
Upon arriving at the location, I’ve marked, head to the roof, and look for Henkel pictured below.
Before moving forward, it is worth mentioning that no matter what you choose to tell Henkel, it has no effect on the story or the rewards you’ll receive. So, take your time with Henkel and learn more about The March Massacre. The NPC has a task for you, and your next objective is to reach Memorial Square.
Where To Find the Memorial Square
Dying Light 2 Memorial Square is in Houndfield District. Again, as you can see below, it is southwest of Henkel’s location and south of Cherry Windmill.
Once you get to the location on my map, you’ll find a small park and the monument you’ll have to investigate. It is pretty hard to miss because of its size and the purple light around it.
How To Investigate the Square
Now that you have reached Memorial Square, it’s time to investigate it, as Henkel tells you. This investigation allows you to learn more about The March Massacre, and it involves three clues you’ll have to find. The first clue is the plaque on the left side of the monument (pictured below). Interact with it, but only after you scan the area.
Next, investigate the second clue or the plaque on the right side (also pictured above). The final clue is a bit harder to find. It is a tree on the right side of the square when facing the monument. You can see it below, but keep in mind that you can only interact with the bullet holes after you scan the area by pressing the right thumbstick.
Great, now that you have found all three clues, it’s time to commemorate the victims.
How To Light the Candle at the Monument
To light the candle at the monument, head back to the plaques you found earlier and look for an interaction button in the upper section (pictured).
Press the corresponding button, and Aiden will place a candle for the victims. Once you do this, the Dying Light 2 Stay Human History Lesson side-quest ends, and you’ll get your rewards.
