Dying Light 2 Stay Human Dark Hollow Mysterious CD belongs to Dustin’s father, a scientist working in the Bazaar.

Your goal for The Key To Humanity quest is to retrieve the scient’s CD from a Dark Hollow area, then return it to its owner.

Let’s see how you can do this and where to find Dustin’s father’s old CD.

Dying Light 2 Key To Humanity Quest – How To Start

To play The Key to Humanity side quest in Techland’s latest Dying Light video game, you must first activate the Oak Windmill in Quarry End; otherwise, Dusty won’t spawn.

Once you do that, head to the Smokehouse Settlement marked on my map below.

On the roof of the Smokehouse, you’ll find Dusty, a very strange NPC and your quest giver.

When talking to Dusty, he’ll reveal that his father (Stellan Borg) is a fantastic scientist. Or that’s what he thinks.

Regardless, when the infected entered Dusty’s apartment on Belltower Road, he forgot to get the bag or the backpack containing the CD.

The idea here is relatively straightforward. Enter the apartment, grab the CD, and deliver it to the Bazaar’s scientist.

So, make sure you accept the quest, and after the conversation, hold the down button on your DPad to fast-forward the time.

You’ll want to do that because the CD is in a Dark Hollow, and at night, there are fewer infected inside since they are busy roaming the streets.

The Key To Humanity Dark Hollow Mysterious CD Location – Where To Find

Great, now that you know what you have to do, open your map to spot the Dark Hollow in Horseshoe District.

You can also see it marked on my map below, west of Maple Windmill.

Head towards that location, and use the entrance on the roof (also pictured).

Use the ladder to get inside the building, then crouch and enter the large room that is partially destroyed.

From here, you’ll want to drop to the large hall below, where you can see a lot of infected.

You can easily sneak around them on your way to the room accessed via the door with a library on the right side (also pictured).

Now turn right to spot a door made of planks. Smash those, and you’ll be in the kitchen.

Here you’ll want to lockpick the white door on the left side while facing the counter.

Again you can see it in the following screenshot.

The Dying Light 2 Mysterious CD is found in the bag on the table in the next room.

Obviously, you’ll want to loot everything inside, but for the sake of this guide, we’ll focus only on the CD.

After you retrieve the CD for Dustin’s father, feel free to clear the place, then head outside and go back to the Bazaar.

Without going inside, look for Dustin’s father outside, working at a workbench.

Upon talking to Dustin’s dad, hand over the CD, and while you won’t save the world, you’ll get 750 Combat XP and 150 Old World Money for finishing The Key to Humanity Dying Light 2 side-quest.
