Cyberpunk 2077 Burning Desire (Night Moves) Distressed Man Guide

Cyberpunk 2077 Burning Desire is one of the funniest Side Jobs in the video game developed by CD Projekt Red, and it involves an NPC named Jesse, who needs V’s help to reach a ripperdoc located in Northside. Depending on when you approach Jesse, the Burning Desire Side Job turns into Night Moves; however, the objective and the rewards don’t change.

Simply put, if you find Jesse before The Heist Main Job, you’ll get to play the Burning Desire, but if you progress the story and complete The Heist Main Job, the quest is named Night Moves. Both names are, in fact, based on two songs:

• Burning Desire by Lana Del Rey
• Night Moves by Bob Seger

Furthermore, the NPC you’ll get to meet is a cameo played by YouTuber Jesse Cox.

Night Moves, or Burning Desire, becomes available in the Little China area of Watson immediately after you finish The Ride Main Job or story mission. To play it, open your map, and you’ll notice a new exclamation mark just north of V’s apartment, as you can see below.

Upon reaching the location on the map above, look for a small plaza by the road, and you should be able to spot Jesse, the NPC who needs your help. When you get close to Jesse, he’ll ask you to get him to a ripper, and you have three dialogue options:

1. OK – This option is recommended if you want to complete the Side Job
2. Got better things to do – If you pick this option, you’ll fail the mission, and you’ll have to start another playthrough
3. What’s with you? – This dialogue choice is recommended if you want to find additional information about Jesse’s problem

Now that you know the outcome of each choice, start by asking Jesse what happened, and he’ll tell you about an implant malfunction. Next, pick the first option to continue the Side Job.

How To Grab a Car and Pick up the Distressed Man

After you decide to help Jesse, it’s time to get him into a car. If you play the Burning Desire Side Job early in the game, the option to use your car is not available, so head to the street and hijack one of the cars nearby.

For this, you must approach the driver and press the corresponding button on your controller/keyboard to take control of the vehicle. Once you hijack the car, wait for Jesse to get inside, then pay close attention to your minimap as it will show you the exact route you must follow the reach the ripperdoc in Northside.

How To Take the Distressed Man to a Ripperdoc

Even though the game doesn’t tell you, it’s worth knowing that to complete the Burning Desire / Night Moves Side Job in CP2077, you have to move fast; otherwise, the Distressed Man or Jesse will ask you to stop the car.

If he gets out, the Side Job will fail; therefore, stick to the route on your minimap. You don’t need to be a pilot to complete the Side Job, but you are not allowed to waste time. As you drive toward the destination, you’ll witness three events:

• Children crossing the road – Wait for them to pass
• Military vehicles crossing an intersection – Avoid them
• A police cordon blocking the way – Turn left and follow the new path

Additionally, if you pay close attention to what Jesse says, you’ll find out his story, which is quite funny. The NPC got the XCV/19 series version of the Mr. Studd implant, which was recalled for being faulty.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Mr. Studd is a sexual cyberware implant that allows users to continue functioning for as long as they want during sexual intercourse. It is the male version of the Midnight Lady, but the XCV/19 series Jesse got from the street is faulty, causing him incredible pain.

After arriving at the destination, pull the car at the location on your minimap, on the left side of the road, in front of some vending machines.

When Jesse gets out of the car, he’ll tell you he will call you later, and the Flaming Crotch Man contact will be added to your phone.

If you want to complete the Cyberpunk 2077 Burning Desire Side Job right away and force the Flaming Crotch Man to call you, head back to V’s apartment and rest for at least 12 hours, then exit the flat, and Jesse will contact you. Alternatively, you can play other missions while waiting for time to pass.

When Jesse calls you, he’ll tell you that he transferred 1940 Eddies to your account, and you can ask him about his future plans. He’ll let you know that he plans to get a better model of Mr. Studd for obvious reasons.
