Cyberpunk 2077 The Gun is one of the first Side Jobs featured in the video game developed by CD Projekt Red, and also one of the shortest because your only objective is to collect your gun from Wilson, a trader located very close to V’s apartment. Basically, The Gun Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 acts as a tutorial on how to buy items from the Night City vendors.
For this Side Job, however, you must purchase a specific item, which is the Dying Night pistol. Luckily, you won’t spend any money on it, but this is a one-time offer. So, in case you wonder where to find Wilson and how to collect your gun for the Cyberpunk 2077 The Gun Side Job, throughout the following walkthrough, we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
CP2077 The Gun Side Job becomes available after you access V’s apartment at the end of The Rescue Main Job, early in the game. Eventually, while playing The Rescue, you’ll be asked to use V’s bed and take a nap. When you wake up, exit the apartment, and you’ll be prompted to meet Jackie Welles outside your building.
On your way to the meeting point, you’ll be able to pay a visit to Wilson and collect your gun. To find Wilson, open your map the moment you step out of V’s house to see the vendor’s location marked below.
As you can see, Wilson is located in the same building as V’s apartment—specifically, one floor below V’s flat.
How To Collect Your Gun in Cyberpunk 2077
Assuming you struggle to find Wilson, the moment you step outside V’s apartment, look across the inner yard, and you should be able to spot a large red billboard for the 2nd Amendment Shop. It is impossible to miss due to its size. To get to the 2nd Amendment, which is Wilson’s store, descend the stairs on your right side as you exit V’s apartment.
When reaching the lower floor, head forward, then take a left turn around the balcony to enter a larger area. Remember to look for the 2nd Amendment billboard below.
Head inside the shop and approach Wilson’s counter. At this point, you should receive a message from Coach Fred, who has a new Side Job for you named Beat on the Brat. When interacting with Wilson, ask him to show you your gun, and you’ll get access to his stock. While there are multiple items available for purchase, for The Gun Side-Job, you have to get the Dying Night Pistol pictured below.
Although the Dying Night Pistol may be less effective than your current weapon, it’s worth knowing that it is the iconic variant of the Militech M-10AF Lexington and features a unique modifier that multiplies headshot damage by 50% while reducing the reload time by 10%. The weapon can be upgraded, so you may want to store it for later.
After retrieving the Dying Night Pistol from Wilson, The Gun Side Job ends, and you’ll also receive the following rewards:
- 20 Common Item Components
- 35 Uncommon Item Components
- 45 Rare Item Components
- 20 Epic Item Components
