Jacob Lamb’s Implant is your objective for a Cyberpunk 2077 Gig you can complete in the Watson, Little China area. It is named Playing For Keeps, and your goal is to find and retrieve an implant for Jacob Lamb, who is a gambler.
Look for this Gig close to the Clarendon St fast travel point in the southwestern corner of Watson. On my map below, you can see that it’s in the proximity of the bridge toward the City Center.
When you get close to this location (aka Kashuu Hanten Bar), Regina will send you a small briefing on what you have to do. Again, you’ll have to get inside the hostile area, find Jacob Lamb’s Implant, and get out.
Where To Find Jacob Lamb’s Implant in Cyberpunk 2077
Depending on your playstyle and how you developed your character, this can be tackled in three different ways. Here are several tips you should consider. Remaining undetected is not an optional objective here, but Regina will mention that she wanted you to do it silently. If you can’t remain undetected, there is nothing wrong with opening fire because you’ll still complete the Gig.
The first method to find and retrieve Jacob Lamb’s Implant is to kill everyone in the Kashuu Hanten bar in Little China. If you intend to do this silently, follow the back alley because there is a door that grants you access inside Kashuu Hanten Bar without alerting anyone.
That door is protected by a single guard you can dispatch easily after you distract him. Once you put him to sleep, go through the back door, and you’ll have to distract and take down one more guard. Regardless of how you approach this situation, you won’t be able to get the implant immediately because it’s behind a locked door. You can force open it, but it will be too loud. As such, first, you’ll need a key. The Kashuu Hanten Keycard is found on a small table in the side room, as you can see below.
Once you get the key, return to the locked door and get inside the backroom. Jacob Lamb’s Implant is inside a jar (picture below), and you’ll see it on a shelf on your left side as you enter.
After you find Jacob Lamb’s Implant, loot everything inside the room, then exit via the back door.
How to Blackmail the Bartender To Give You The Implant
Also, the third optional method is to retrieve Jacob Lob’s Eye by blackmailing the bartender. To do so, you’ll have to enter through the back door and dispatch the two guards as before. In this back room of the bar, access the laptop and open the file SEETHRU_X3: Owner’s Manual, which reveals that the gang is cheating and winning against people who have come to play.
Now, your objective for the CP2077 Playing For Keeps gig will update, giving you the option to blackmail the bartender into providing you with the implant.
Return to the front of the building, head inside, and speak with Keisuke, the bartender. Select the “Your casino cheats.” dialogue option and wait for him to return with the Jacob Lamb’s Implant. If you don’t see the dialogue mentioned above option and you have the optional objective of blackmailing him, check his shop first and interact again with him.
