Baldur’s Gate 3 Arcane Tower is one of the locations you’ll have to visit while working on the Help Omeluum Investigate the Parasite quest. While you’re there, you may come across a malfunctioning elevator.

Instead of taking the stairs, you have the chance to fix the elevator and restore power to the entire building. In this guide, you’ll learn how to repair the BG3 Arcane Tower elevator and discover the secrets of the Arcane Tower.

Where To Find the BG3 Arcane Tower Elevator

The Arcane Tower elevator in Baldur’s Gate 3 is located in the southwest part of the Underdark, as shown in the image below. To quickly reach the Arcane Tower and avoid many combat encounters, use one of the mushroom rings in Auntie Ethel’s cave.

The Arcane Tower is located in the southwest part of the Underdark.

As you get close to the tower, two Arcane Turrets outside will start firing at your party members. They are vulnerable to Lightning Damage, so we recommend entering turn-based mode to defeat them before they shoot. If you need help to destroy the Arcane Turrets, check out our guide to learn how to do it.

How To Fix the Arcane Tower Elevator in BG3

After you’ve disabled the two Arcane Turrets in front of the Arcane Tower, get close to the crack in the wall on the southern side of the entrance. Select one of your characters and split him from the party (or you can simply press G to split all of them).

Jump across the chasm on the giant red mushroom. For this section, it is recommended to use a high-dexterity character such as Asterion.

Jump across the chasm on the giant red mushroom on the southern side of the Arcane Tower entrance.

Make your way down on the giant mushrooms until you reach the back of the tower. Before attempting to lockpick the back door of the Arcane Tower, it is a good idea to make a quicksave, especially if you are low on Thieves’ Tools.

Lockpick the back door of the Arcane Tower and pick up the Sussur Bloom before going in.

After successfully unlocking the door, pick up the Sussur Bloom and enter the tower. You’ll find a Power Generator on the bottom floor of the tower. Interact with the Power Generator and place the Sussur Bloom in the empty slot, then press Combine to restore power to the entire Arcane Tower and activate the elevator as well.

Place the Sussur Bloom in the empty slot of the Power Generator and press Combine to activate the Arcane Tower.

Make sure to read all the books in the Arcane Tower before reaching the top floor. This will give you more dialogue options when speaking to Bernard. The Threadbare Book from the fourth floor is essential to unlocking the “How can I trust?…” dialogue option.

This option leads to Bernard giving you a Guiding Light Ring, which unlocks a secret button on the elevator. Pressing the secret button takes you to the Arcane Tower’s basement in BG3, where you can find more Tongues of Madness, Timmask Spores, scrolls, and a Staff of Arcane Blessing.

And that’s everything you need to know about how to fix the Arcane Tower elevator in Baldur’s Gate 3.
