Baldur’s Gate 3 is an epic role-playing game that is filled with countless spells and abilities. One spell that really catches the eye is the Crusader’s Mantle. In this guide, we’ll explore all the details about this spell – how to get it and all the cool things you can do with it in the game.
Who Can Cast the Crusaders Mantle Evocation Spell in BG3
The Crusader’s Mantle is a handy Level 3 Evocation Spell. This spell allows you to imbue your allies’ weapons with holy power, thereby causing them to deal additional Radiant damage for a duration of 10 turns.
You can get the Crusader’s Mantle in Baldur’s Gate 3 if you play as certain classes like the War Domain Cleric, Paladin, or College of Lore Bards (via Magical Secrets). It’s important to know that you can also use special items like the Mantle of the Holy Warrior to cast the spell.
How To Obtain the Mantle of the Holy Warrior
The Mantle of the Holy Warrior is an end-game cloak that can be obtained during Act 3. This cloak provides the wearer with the ability to cast the Crusader’s Mantle spell.
To get your hands on the Mantle of the Holy Warrior, you can head over to the Stormshore Tabernacle in the city of Baldur’s Gate during Act 3 and purchase it from the Vicar Humbletoes.
If, by any chance, the cloak is not available in the merchant’s inventory when you visit, don’t worry! Simply try returning after a Long Rest or leveling up, as the merchant’s inventory tends to reset or restock.
How To Use Crusader’s Mantle in BG3
First and foremost, it is important to note that the Crusader’s Mantle buff exclusively affects held weapons. So, if you’re playing as a Necromancer, an unarmed Monk, or a Wild Shape Druid, this buff won’t be of much use to these classes.
To effectively apply the buff on your spellcaster and the nearby allies, make sure they are within a 9-meter radius from the spellcaster.
The additional Radiant damage can come in handy when you’re up against enemies who are particularly vulnerable to this type of damage, like Justiciars, Sentinels, or Shadows. It can really give you an edge in battle.
