Baldur’s Gate 3 Blood of Lathander Secret Chamber Puzzle Solution

Baldur’s Gate 3 Secret Chamber is a hidden room inside the Creche Y’llek containing the Blood of Lathander, a Legendary Mace. In order to gain access to the Secret Chamber, you must solve a series of puzzles.

To complete the quest and obtain the Blood of Lathander from the Secret Chamber, you must overcome a series of obstacles. As such, our Baldur’s Gate III guide will provide you with all the necessary information to reach the Secret Chamber and navigate it to obtain the Legendary Mace, Blood of Lathander.

Where to Find the Blood of Lathander BG3 Secret Chamber

The entrance to the Secret Chamber is concealed behind a hidden door in the Inquisitor’s Chamber of the Githyanki Creche, Y’llek. To reveal the hidden doorway, you must solve the Inquisitor’s Chamber statue puzzle by rotating the two statues to face the correct cardinal points.

After you go through the doorway, interact with the Daybreak Gate to enter the Secret Chamber in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How To Get Through the Baldur’s Gate 3 Secret Chamber

The Secret Chambers’ hallway has three magical barrier doors that can be disabled by destroying nearby magic crystals. The first magical crystal, Energy Source, is located on the pillar to the left of the magical barrier.

Use any ranged attack to destroy it and clear the magical barrier. In the next section of the hallway, you’ll see a strange magical device called Dawnbreaker. If you get within its range, you’ll enter Turn-Base Mode.

The Dawnbreaker is a defense mechanism designed to prevent intruders by pushing them off the cliff with a mighty wind blow. Also, do not attempt to disarm the device, or your character will end up in the chasm, and you’ll have to visit Withers at your camp to bring him back to life.

Instead, take the path behind the Dawnbreaker and destroy the second magical crystal near the doorway.

Also, it is recommended to control one character at a time to avoid rushing into Dawnbreaker’s range. The third and final magical crystal is located on the cliffside near the right side of the room. Select just one character to destroy the Energy Source with a ranged attack.

While in Turn-Based Mode, use the Dash ability to get all your characters on the other side of the room without getting pushed off the cliff by the Dawnbreaker. Another way is to disarm the Dawnbreaker from behind to avoid getting pushed off.

In the final section of the Secret Chamber, you’ll reach the Blood of Lathander. You have the chance to get the Blood of Lathander, but it won’t happen without consequences. Right now, you can choose from two options to get the Legendary mace. We will explain each method below.

The safest way to obtain the Blood of Lathander is by inserting the Dawnmaster’s Crest into the socket to disable the security system. If you haven’t solved the Stained Glass puzzle in the Rosymorn Monastery yet, refer to our guide to obtain the Dawnmaster’s Crest.

Option two is faster but riskier. Taking the Blood of Lathander from its pedestal activates a magical construct that aims to destroy the Monastery and everyone inside. If you choose this method, you must act quickly. You have four combat turns to destroy the four crystals located at each corner of the room.

Each crystal has 30 hit points and can only be damaged by ranged attacks. Keep in mind that the character who picked up the Blood of Lathander will be trapped inside and unable to join the battle.

So, it’s important to plan which three party members can destroy the crystals quickly. Regardless of your approach, you will eventually obtain the Blood of Lathander, a legendary mace with remarkable attributes.
