Forza Horizon 5 Baja Expedition Optional Accolades provide 350 Accolade Points if you complete all of them before descending La Gran Caldera. There are only 4 FH5 Baja Expedition Optional Accolades you need to finish, but one of these side-objectives features multiple steps.
Although not mandatory for the game’s story, you should complete the Baja Expedition side objectives because the points you receive will help you rank faster. You’ll get them after you start the Baja Expedition and after you reach the top of La Gran Caldera with Ramiro and Haley. Once you do that, the following objectives should appear on your screen:
- Put on the Volcanologist Thermal Suit
- Find a location for the Seismometer
- Collect a sample from the Hot Spring Lake
- Smash 5 Steam Vents to release the Geothermal Energy
FH5 Baja Expedition Optional Accolade Locations Map
Like the previous 2 Expeditions (Tulum and Jungle), you can use the following map for the Baja Expedition, which shows the locations of all Optional Accolades. Additionally, if you get stuck while completing these objectives, feel free to read the hints provided in the guide.
How To Collect a Sample From the Hot Spring Lake
When you receive the optional objectives list, focus on collecting the Hot Spring Lake water sample. All you need to do is drive your car into the small lake east of the large one, as you see in the following screenshot.
How To Put on the Volcanologist Thermal Suit
After you complete the previous objective, head towards the complex on the other side of the lake. You should be able to see some buildings. Get close to the central building, and then, to put on the Volcanologist Thermal Suit, press X on your Xbox controller. After the short cutscene, this Optional Accolade is complete.
How To Find a Location for the Seismometer
To find a location for the Seismometer, head towards the large lake west of the previous one. Go around it, following the dirt path on the western side, and stop near the marker. Press X to place the Seismometer and start tracking earthquakes.
How To Smash 5 Steam Vents to Release Geothermal Energy
Finally, to complete all Accolades, you’ll need to find and smash 5 Steam Vents to release the Geothermal Energy. You can identify the FH5 Steam Vents by the steam they release. These are, in fact, piles of rocks scattered around the area. There are many Steam Vents, so smashing them should not take more than 2 minutes. You can see one of them below.
After completing all Forza Horizon 5 Baja Expedition Optional Accolades, meet with Ramiro to continue your adventure and descend La Gran Caldera.
