Forza Horizon 5 Beach Flags also count as Smashable Objects, and you’ll need to smash 10 of them in the 1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Lux if you want to unlock the Flag Down Accolade. The FH5 Beach Flags and the said Accolade are by far the trickiest for two reasons:

  • Beach Flags are pretty rare in the game
  • Flag Down Accolade counter is not working as it should

Nevertheless, you can unlock the Forza Horizon 5 Flag Down Accolade relatively fast, provided you follow the guide below.

Where To Find the FH5 Beach Flags

Forza Horizon 5 Beach Flags Locations

For the FH5 Flag Down Accolade, your first objective is to get the required car. In this case, you’ll need the iconic 1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Lux, and to get it, you have three options:

  • Win it at Wheelspins
  • Buy it from the Auction House
  • Buy it from the Autoshow via the Car Collection window for 40.000 CR

The latter is the one I recommend. Now that you know how to get the 1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Lux, it is time to start looking for the 10 Flags. Normally, since they are Beach Flags, you’ll want to scout all Beaches in Mexico; however, you’ll notice that they are pretty rare.

While looking for them, you are actually looking for small gray flags. Instead of wasting your time driving on the beaches, you may want to head to the location I have marked above. This is by far the best spot to find 10 Forza Horizon 5 Beach Flags, and as you can see, it is on the western beach.

Also, as you can notice on the map above, this spot is found west of La Cabana house in Bahia De Plano. When you get close to the location I have marked, start looking for some tennis nets, and close to them, you’ll see a lot of Beach Flags. You can also observe them in my screenshot below.

Great, so now that you’ve found the Beach Flags if you take a look around, you’ll notice that there are more than you actually need. The problem, however, is that if you smash one and then check the Flag Down Accolade, you’ll notice that it shows 0 Beach Flags.

As said, the Forza 5 Flag Down Accolade is a bit off track (thanks to Playground Games’ devs), but it will unlock once you smash 10 Beach Flags. Or simply put, the counter doesn’t work on this one, but the Accolade does unlock, as you can see in my image.

Forza Horizon 5 Beach Flags Where To Find

One last important aspect worth knowing about the Forza Horizon 5 Beach Flags at this location is that if you run out of flags and the Accolade doesn’t unlock, you can just quit the game and then head back to this area, where they should respawn.
