Wargtooth Shallows Ancient Obelisk is the last Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands challenge we’ll complete as part of our completion guide for the video game developed by Gearbox Software. Assuming you have collected all Wargtooth Shallows Lucky Dice, Lore Scrolls, Lost Marbles, and Poetry Pages in the Ex-Seabed, then you’ll also have to beat the Rune Switch and Ancient Obelisk challenges.
TheObelisk challenge is very accessible, even on higher difficulty levels, because the mini-boss you’ll have to defeat is a shark.
Where To Find the Wargtooth Shallows Obelisk
On the map below, you can notice that the Ancient Obelisk is very close to the Wargtooth Shallows – Recent Beach fast travel point.
Starting from the said fast-travel point, head north, and you’ll see a large anchor in the sand. Go around it, then head left, and you’ll get to a clearing where the Wargtooth Shallows Ancient Obelisk awaits.
How To Complete the Ancient Obelisk Wargtooth Shallows Challenge
Upon activating the Ancient Obelisk in Wargtooth Shallows, you’ll have to deal with waves of sharks. From Hammerheads to Dogfish, these mobs will continue spawning until the Obelisk is charged. On lower difficulty levels, these sharks are pretty easy to deal with because they take damage from all weapons and don’t have any immunities.
However, if you decide to replay the challenge on Chaos, then you’ll want to consider switching between your weapons and prioritizing ice damage. The same rule applies to The Great Wight mini-boss that spawns after the Obelisk is charged.
This boss is relatively weak to ice, on higher difficulty levels, and even corrosive damage. In easy mode, most weapons can take out the great shark. By defeating The Great Wight, you have a chance to obtain the Slammin’ Salmon or Maced Wardu legendary gear.
If the boss doesn’t drop them, you can replay Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Wargtooth Shallows Ancient Obelisk Challenge by resetting it. Simply fast-travel to another region (Brighthoof, for example), return to the Obelisk, and kill the boss again.
It is worth knowing that the chance to get the two legendary weapons depends on your character’s Loot Luck, so you may want to focus on finding all the Lucky Dice before farming obelisks for legendary gear.
