Assassin’s Creed Mirage: How To Get the Four Markets Gear Chest

Announced at Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the thirteenth installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. The action-adventure stealth game was released on October 5, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features reduced RPG elements, focusing on parkour, close-quarter combat, and stealth gameplay.

Set decades before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, AC Mirage allows players to help Basim evolve from a street thief to a Hidden One. While smaller in size, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the AC series roots, allowing Basim to complete assassination missions throughout Baghdad, accompanied by his Eastern imperial eagle Enkidu. According to developers, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage main story takes 15-20 hours to complete, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Four Markets Gear Chest is one of the trickiest collectibles in the Abbasiyah district because it requires a key that is pretty hard to spot, especially when you are near the chest. The Four Markets Gear Chest is nevertheless mandatory if you aim to get 100% completion in the western district of Baghdad.

AC Mirage Four Markets Chest Location

Let’s start with the location of the Four Markets Gear Chest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and as you can see on the following map, this collectible is found inside a building in the western part of the market.

The AC Mirage Four Markets Gear Chest is inside a locked building on the western side of the market.

To get to the chest, you’ll need to solve a small puzzle and find the Four Markets Storage Key. So, the first thing to do is to approach the building from the west and go around it, looking for a lower wooden roof under a barred window and above a wall you can destroy. Jump on the roof and look through the grated window to spot some explosive jars. Use a throwing knife to detonate the jars, which will destroy a breakable floor. This will help you save time later.

Destroy the explosive jars to clear the path towards the chest.

Now, head back to the front of the building, and you’ll see a door near the stable. The problem is that this door is locked, and you’ll need to find the corresponding key.

Where To Find the Four Markets Locked Door Key In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

To open the AC Mirage Four Markets Locked Door, you must get the key carried by a specific NPC located in the northeastern corner of the market. You’ll find him inside a building. So, first, you must get to the location on the map below.

The Key to the AC Mirage Four Markets locked door in carried by an NPC.

Upon getting to the location I have marked above, look around to spot the entrance to a building with a purple cover above the door. Get inside and check the second floor to find a civilian facing the window. Pickpocket the key from him because it’s the key you need to open the door of the Four Market house mentioned above.

Pickpocket the Four Markets Locked House Key from the civilian.

Now, head back to the building where the Gear Chest is located and use the Four Markets Storage Key to open the door and gain access to the storage room. Inside, you’ll find several explosive jars. Pick one of them and go to the back of the building where the Gear Chest collectible is found. Look for a wall you can destroy by throwing the jar at it.

Destroy the breakable wall to get to the Gear Chest in the Four Markets buildin.

Finally, enter the building and look for a shelf near the right side wall. Pull it towards the center of the room, and place it under the hole in the ceiling (the one you have made when destroying the red jars on the floor). Hop on the shelf and pull yourself up to the second floor of the building. Now, look around to spot the Gear Chest waiting for you in the corner of the room.
