Assassin’s Creed Mirage Nestorian Monastery Lost Book Location Guide

Announced at Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the thirteenth installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. The action-adventure stealth game was released on October 5, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features reduced RPG elements, focusing on parkour, close-quarter combat, and stealth gameplay.

Set decades before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, AC Mirage allows players to help Basim evolve from a street thief to a Hidden One. While smaller in size, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the AC series roots, allowing Basim to complete assassination missions throughout Baghdad, accompanied by his Eastern imperial eagle Enkidu. According to developers, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage main story takes 15-20 hours to complete, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The Nestorian Monastery Lost Book in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is one of the two Lost Books collectibles available in the Harbiyah region. Unfortunately, the AC Mirage Lost Book in Nestorian Monastery is well-hidden in a secret underground area, where you’ll have to solve a short puzzle involving movable shelves.

The puzzle is not complicated, but it can be challenging if you are unfamiliar with the game mechanics.

Where To Find the Nestorian Monastery Lost Book in AC Mirage

The Nestorian Monastery Lost Book is located in the Zubaydiyah district, at the northernmost point of the Harbiyah region. There is also a viewpoint at the top of the monastery.

The Lost Book is in Zubaydiyah, in the northernmost point of Harbiyah.

The Lost Book can be found in the underground area of the Nestorian Monastery. Follow the marker to find the hidden entrance between sandbags and wooden barrels, as shown in the image below.

You can find the secret entrance leading to the cellar by following the marker.

How To Get the Lost Book in Nestorian Monastery

In order to get the Nestorian Monastery Lost Book in AC Mirage, you must move the shelves blocking the way in a specific order to reveal a hidden opening in the wall leading to it. After descending the stairs into the cellar, proceed straight ahead past a doorway on the left and a ladder on the ground until you reach a dead-end. On your left, you’ll see a movable shelf with rocks that is blocking the opening to the Lost Book.

Now, go through to the doorway you passed earlier, and you’ll see three paths on the right that you can take between the static shelves. Take the second/middle path and pull back the movable shelf as far as it will go.

Take the second path, then pull the shelf as far as possible.

Then, make your way to the first path (closest to the doorway) and pull all the way back to the movable shelf.

Head to the first path by the doorway. Pull back to the movable shelf.

Unfortunately, the opening in the wall is still blocked. That’s because we will have to move one more shelf. After you’ve pulled the shelf on the first path, take the third path (farthest to the doorway), which is a long corridor that loops around to the back of the cellar, and pull all the way back to the movable shelf.

Take the third path and pull back to the movable shelf.

After that, go back to the initial dead-end. Slide under the gap in the wall located on your left and proceed forward. Take a left turn to reach a Loot Chest, then move towards the curtains to access a dimly lit corridor. At the end of this passage, you will come across the Nestorian Monastery Lost Book on a pedestal called Al-Tabari: Tafsir of al-Tabari.
