Assassin’s Creed Mirage Northern Oasis Gear Chests Locations Guide

The Northern Oasis Gear Chests in Assassin’s Creed Mirage contain probably the most powerful pieces of equipment you can get for Basim, but they also require a bit of legwork. The three Assassin’s Creed Mirage Northern Oasis Gear Chests are very well hidden, but since they count as collectibles, it means that you’ll need to open all three of them to get 100% completion in the Wilderness region of the game.

Unlike all other AC Mirage Wilderness Chests, to open them, you’ll need to get all Mysterious Shards in the game, and throughout the following guide, I’ll tell you where to find the Northern Oasis Chests, what they contain and where to look for their keys or the Mysterious Shards.

AC Mirage Northern Oasis Chests Locations

Before discussing the Northern Oasis Gear Chests Keys, let’s see where to find the collectibles and how to get to them. As you can see on my map below, the three Gear Chests are found close to the landmark known as Northern Oasis, just south of the Northern Oasis Viewpoint. But they are underground.

To get to them, you’ll need to find a secret underwater tunnel, also marked on the map below.

Specifically, you’ll want to get to the shore of the lake on the map above and look for a red flag that marks the diving location. You can see it in the following screenshot.

After you find the flag marked above, jump into the lake and scan the area to spot an underwater linear tunnel. Swim through the tunnel, and you’ll get to a cave. Emerge from the water and head through the crack in the southern wall.

In the next cave, follow the catwalk near the right side wall and keep climbing. Now, squeeze through the next tunnel and cross the large room ahead. In the next room, you’ll find three altars or pedestals if you like. These are, in fact, the three Gear Chests in the Northern Oasis Secret Room. Here is what you have to do next.

How To Get the Gear Chests in the Northern Oasis Underground Secret Room

As you can see in the following screenshot, the three Northern Oasis Underground Secret Room altars or pedestals have a specific number of triangles engraved on them.

These numbers correspond with the number of Mysterious Shards you need to open each of the altars (Gear Chests), as follows:

• The altar on the left side requires two Mysterious Shards and unlocks the Samsaama Dagger.
• The pedestal on the right side requires three Shards and unlocks the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword
• The altar in the center requires five Mysterious Shards to unlock the Milad’s Outfit

As you can guess, these are very powerful and fully upgraded pieces of gear. Now, as I have mentioned, to get them, you’ll need a total of 10 Mysterious Shards. These collectibles are carried by specific NPCs. They don’t have fixed locations, but they patrol on specific paths. Luckily, we have guides for all of them, so feel free to use them to collect all the Shards in AC Mirage:

Once you obtain all ten shards, return to the room and interact with the three altars to get your rewards, which are also part of The Ancient Place quest you receive from Nehal.
