Assassin’s Creed Mirage Bazaar Gear Chest Location Guide

Announced at Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the thirteenth installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. The action-adventure stealth game was released on October 5, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features reduced RPG elements, focusing on parkour, close-quarter combat, and stealth gameplay.

Set decades before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, AC Mirage allows players to help Basim evolve from a street thief to a Hidden One. While smaller in size, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the AC series roots, allowing Basim to complete assassination missions throughout Baghdad, accompanied by his Eastern imperial eagle Enkidu. According to developers, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage main story takes 15-20 hours to complete, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The Gear Chests found in Assassin’s Creed Mirage are highly valuable collectibles within the game. These treasure chests contain valuable weapons, outfits, or schematics that allow you to upgrade them. The AC Mirage Bazaar Gear Chest, located on the southern side of Baghdad, is no different from the others.

Reaching the Bazaar Gear Chest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage might be a bit frustrating as it is located in an area that is unavailable until you progress further with the main story. However, there is a way that allows you to unlock the door beforehand, but it requires some precise aim.

AC Mirage The Bazaar Chest Location

The Bazaar Gear Chest is located in the center of the Tabik district in the Karkh territory of Baghdad, as shown on the map below.

You can find this Gear Chest inside a locked room in the Bazaar.

The Bazaar is a big location that features multiple levels, both indoor and outdoor sections, and even a concealed bandit hideout located on the rooftop. Within the vicinity, you can discover several chests, but only one is a Gear Chest.

To find it, enter the Bazaar from the east and climb the crates on the right side to reach the indoor balcony. At the end of it, you will come across a barred door.

The door leading to the Gear Chest is barred.

You will eventually access this area once you progress the story until Gilded Butterflies main quest, but it’s not necessary to do so in order to get the Gear Chest. Let me explain to you how you can get this one.

How To Get the Bazaar Gear Chest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

While facing the barred door on the upper floor, traverse the tightrope on the left to reach the balcony on the opposite side. Proceed to the right and follow the balcony until you reach its corner. If you look across the balcony to the east, you will see a diamond-shaped wooden window. The barred door is located beyond this wooden window. You can actually throw a knife between the slats of the window to destroy the bar and open the door.

Use Throwing Knives to destroy the wooden beam blocking the door.

To line up your shot, use Eagle Vision to highlight the door bar. The balcony’s ledge is close enough for a throwing knife to reach the bar. Also, jumping onto the green sheet below may provide a better angle. Once you have aimed correctly, the crosshair will turn red. You can then throw the knife, and the door should be open. Make your way back to the other side and go through the freshly opened door. The Bazaar Gear Chest can be found on the right.

Open the Gear Chest to obtain the Abbasid Knight Dagger or the Upgrade Schematics.

Inside the Gear Chest, you’ll find the Abbasid Knight Dagger or the Upgrade Schematics for it. The Abbasid Knight Dagger has a unique perk called Resilient: when Basim’s Health goes below 50 percent, his Damage Resistance increases by 30 percent.
