Assassin’s Creed Mirage Wilderness Lost Book Locations Guide

Announced at Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the thirteenth installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. The action-adventure stealth game was released on October 5, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features reduced RPG elements, focusing on parkour, close-quarter combat, and stealth gameplay.

Set decades before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, AC Mirage allows players to help Basim evolve from a street thief to a Hidden One. While smaller in size, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the AC series roots, allowing Basim to complete assassination missions throughout Baghdad, accompanied by his Eastern imperial eagle Enkidu. According to developers, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage main story takes 15-20 hours to complete, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The Wilderness region you’ll get to explore in Assassin’s Creed Mirage after Basim’s training features two Lost Book collectibles you’ll need to find for Al-Jahiz.The first Assassin’s Creed Mirage Wilderness Lost Book is in the Tuesday Market, south of Baghdad and the Pomengrate Gate. The Tuesday Market is an important landmark, especially if you decide to help Ali-Baba’s daughter during the Mysterious Letter pre-order bonus mission.

However, the Tuesday Market is also a hostile territory, meaning you’ll need to remain unseen to get your hands on the first Lost Book. To help you with this task, throughout the following guide, I’ll tell you how to get the Assassin’s Creed Mirage Tuesday Market Lost Book, which will get you closer to achieving 100% completion in the Wilderness region. The second Lost Book in AC Mirage is even more complicated because it doesn’t appear on your map; however, don’t worry because I’ll tell you where it is.

Where To Find the Tuesday Market Lost Book in AC Mirage

If you wonder where to find the Tuesday Market and the first Wilderness Lost Book collectible in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, then start by checking the southern part of Baghdad on your in-game map. As you can see below, the Tuesday Market is a landmark outside the city’s southern wall, and that’s where you’ll find the Lost Book.

The Assassin's Creed Mirage Wilderness Lost Book is found in the Tuesday Market.

Now, if you want to make the most out of this area, I suggest unlocking Basim’s Blow Dart before visiting the landmark because you’ll get the chance to unlock one of the trickiest achievements/trophies, which is also highly missable. When ready, approach the Tuesday Market from the southwest and climb on the roofs of one of the nearby buildings to get a better view of the market.

How To Get the Lost Book in Tuesday Market

As said, the first Lost Book is relatively easy to get; however, inside the Tuesday Market, there is also a locked chest you should open. As you can notice in my screenshot below, this enemy camp is well protected. If you pay close attention to the guards, you’ll see one specific soldier patrolling around the building in the center.

Kill the guard carrying the key

He moves from left to right while facing the building’s main entrance and stops before going around the corner. On this specific guard, I suggest using the Blow Dart, but not before he moves around the corner. After you put him to sleep, pickpocket the key to unlock the You Snooze, You Lose trophy/achievement.

While his key is not required to obtain the Lost Book collectible, it allows you to open the Tuesday Market Locked Chest on the roof. So, after you deal with the guard, quickly climb the wooden platforms at the corner of the building (also visible above), hop on the balcony, and enter the building through the door. Inside the room on the second floor, you’ll find the Lost Book (pictured below) on a desk by the window.

The Wilderness Lost Book is found on the second floor of the Tuesday Market building.

Grab the collectible, but before leaving the hostile area, make sure you also climb on the roof. Assassinate the archer, and open the Tuesday Market Locked Chest for additional crafting materials.

Where To Find the Secret Wilderness Lost Book

The second Lost Book is not marked on your map, but you’ll need it to complete Al-Jahiz’s mission. This is the seventh Lost Book in the game, and it’s also found in the Wilderness region. To find it, open your map and check the southeastern side of the Wilderness to see the Seleucia-on-the-Tigris landmark.

The secret Lost Book is in Seleucia-on-the-Tigris.

Ride to the location I have marked for you, and you’ll find some ruins. Make sure you look around to spot a hidden entrance on the ground. It is relatively easy to identify because it features a breakable wall. To get the book, climb the stone pillars around the ruined temple and look for an explosive jar you can throw to demolish the breakable wall.

Get the missing lost book to unlock the Scholar achiement/trophy.

While standing on top of the pillar, throw the jar at the wall made of stones, then head back to the ground and collect the hidden Lost Book. After you get the book, return to Al-Jahiz and hand it to him. If you have found all other Lost Books in AC Mirage, you’ll unlock the Scholar achievement/trophy.
